He was in the right, he's just trying to show that his family is better than what his nephew is portraying.
 
I'm opposed to this in my brain but my gut loves every second of it.

Growing up, my mom used the belt or whatever was near her at the time. Grandma...she made you pick your switch, tagged you with it, and if she didn't like it, she would get her own and tag you again.

Last time I got whooped, I was in my teens, I laughed at my mom as she spanked me. Bad mistake, she said "oh, so you a grown ass man now huh?" and stole on me in my chest, slid back and took her stance. I never got in trouble again since :lol

we use have this tree call a tamarind tree when I use to live in Jamaica. My mom had switch for every occasion. We would walk up the hill from school she would stop at the tree everyday and be like " OO this one good for when you decide to run away again." or " this one is good for when you don't brush your teeth."

Yes this. Gives him time to think about how stupid what he did was and how he is responsible for the punishment to come. Its harder to pick a "good" one in that situation and knowing if you mess around and get some little thing...:lol Funny cause I can spot a good switch from a mile away now.
 
I'm not that comfortable with parents hitting their kids, but coming from a black family and seeing how some of my cousins are, there are some kids that needs a good ass whooping to set them straight. I wish more black families had this uncle's attitude.

And, yes, this kid was lucky it was his uncle, not his mom, that caught him. Black mothers who care don't play like that :lol

It was laughing at my mom when she failed to deal any damage with the belt that got me the switch for the first time. Big mistake. You can block a belt swing with your hands a bit and it ain't too bad...using your hands to brace yourself from a switch swing hurts like hell.

Oh yeah, my step father was a fucking dickhead who really did abuse us. There's a big difference between getting spanked/whipped and getting beaten/abused.
 
Got the belt, cane, hand. Worst was being spanked. Hurt less, but was WAY more embarrassing than the infinitely more painful cane. Ironically I think they taught us to control pain like Muad Dib.

From personal experience I would give that whooping a C. He still had his pants on and he was standing. In fact I was fully expecting the kid to get knocked out. At his age, height, and weight I think body blows are also acceptable. I real bad kid could easily shrug off that sad attemp at a whooping. The fact that he was forced to post it on facebook is the real punishment.

I was given the option of what ever was on hand, Belt, spoon or walking stick. Then we had to grab the towel rack and prepare for the incoming ass whoppin'.

Also, yes, my mom would quickly ditch the switch and put up her hands in a heartbeat. Still remember her drop kicking my cousin(he was like 18 at the time) across the room, 300 style. Shit was hilarious.

your opinion is valued but would you rather your kid talk the talk which eventually leads to him walking the walk.

edit :The reality is this kid was talking about some gangsta stuff which may get him in trouble later on if not from his family but someone on the outside.
