So we generally accept that Sabo still lives and might join the straw hats? I'm ok with that. I somehow still don't feel like Jinbe's gonna join em but I'd love him to, they need at least one fishman IMO.

This reminds of Usoppe and Nami pre time skip. Jimbei does not fit SH MO. And he is too damn powerful. It´s more interesting to develop a character than have a character who is already developed. And she is plenty powerful when she learns to call sea kings when ever she wants. So what if she is big? She is not the only giant around.

Where is there proof he is too damn powerful? He was absolutely crushed by Akainu pre-time skip, and Luffy has alread defeated two Shichibukai...nothing we have seen so far suggests he is currently stronger than Luffy...in fact, he seems to be very impressed with the Straw Hats strength so far. I think he will join and he would fit in well. He is rather serious, but I think he would fit in well. He is an allround soild bloke, something they havent as yet got.

Other than Agiel defecting randomly this chapter was average, and Aoi's entrance and loss in the same chapter was poorly handled. This is exactly what I was arguing about last week with One Piece/Naruto and why you don't have characters lose right after training arcs/time skips.

Obito makes sense in a lot ways, but it doesn't make sense in just as many. My thought is that will be Obito with a lot of handwaving and asspull logic to explain it.

Well what has she really done in an other fighting previously? she's like 3rd tier along with Kanzaki and Himekawa maybe 2 1/2 tier. The defection was random but it will probably turn out she's and old friend/relative of one Andelion or that doctor brat or one of the maids. I Wonder how long before the St Ishiyama guys turn up.

Then get one shot from behind to set up Agiel randomly defecting .

Yeah I know she lost thats my point, has she ever not lost? and I didn't say it was handled well I just don't see it as surprising. I also said shes around the level of Kanzaki and Himekawa maybe a bit above but being the 3rd, 4th or 5th strongest so far hasn't meant much, also Natsume would probably be in 3rd place behind Oga and Toujou and pre training arc she was well behind the St Ishiyama squad.
That's from the serialization though; it was fixed in the actual volume.

Overall it was decent but having Luffy faint after such a mediocre battle seems like a weird choice. I don't know. I sort of feel like I should just stop reading for a year so I can marathon a good chunk of issues.

Strongest Man Kurosawa vol 1
And part 4 of my Fukumoto romp brings me to Mid-life Crisis: The Manga. I wonder if Kurosawa is a stand-in for Fukumoto himself. Though I can't imagine the dude would be some poor guy when this started since Akagi had been going on for like 14 years by then. Could buy him being an awkward, middle-aged single guy though.
