A Girl by the Sea

Ooh, so that's what the name means.

Sato and Isobe sex adventures are getting way too uncomfortable. And Sato is one creepy bastard putting the pic of that girl as his wallpaper.

Yeah I know she lost thats my point, has she ever not lost? and I didn't say it was handled well I just don't see it as surprising. I also said shes around the level of Kanzaki and Himekawa maybe a bit above but being the 3rd, 4th or 5th strongest so far hasn't meant much, also Natsume would probably be in 3rd place behind Oga and Toujou and pre training arc she was well behind the St Ishiyama squad.

I think you need to reread the manga if you think she on same level as Kanzaki and Himekawa .
Also she did not fight with any of St Ishiyama guys other than use a ruler to stop someone and that was before she got her demon .
Which even Hilda said she got stronger still i not going down this power level road so you win this debate .

Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru - 1

This should be getting an anime soon. Love triangle? Check. Trashy? Check. An original light novel source material? Check. Awkwardly long title? Check.

Right but one of the St Ishiyama guys fought toe to toe with Oga and another did the same with Toujou what in particular has Aoi ever done fighting wise? sparred with Hilda (whos power level jumps around more than Ichigo's) and got praised?

Strongest Man Kurosawa vol 1

And part 4 of my Fukumoto romp brings me to Mid-life Crisis: The Manga. I wonder if Kurosawa is a stand-in for Fukumoto himself. Though I can't imagine the dude would be some poor guy when this started since Akagi had been going on for like 14 years by then. Could buy him being an awkward, middle-aged single guy though.
Kurosawa starts out so damn depressing. Nearly couldn't push myself through it.

Am I the only one here reading, and finishing Sundome?

I have never seen such a mixture of gross + disgusting and yet also sweet + touching romantic relationship like the ones pictured here between the lead characters in any manga I've ever read.

It's like... at times I felt, 'ugh', while reading it but at the same time I just could not stop until the end seeing how endearing that 'ugh' is...

God I'm talking nonsense I know. It's just its pretty difficult to describe the feeling I've had reading it.

I've read some of it, but didn't finish it.

Didn't dig it much. Felt like a cocktease that wasn't going to go anywhere, never got far into it.

The ending is quite touching, actually. But yes, you need to stomach many... how do I say it... pretty sicking stuff... to reach it.

Even I am surprised on how endearing it actually gets towards its end. And judging on how it got up to 8 volumes I guess it was doing pretty well?

Late

Naruto: MAN I don't know about you guys but this chapter had me pumped up from beginning to end. Maybe it was because I skipped out on the detailed spoilers, I ended up loving every minute of it. The 6 jins have some awesome techs (and they're guaranteed to show more next chapter) & Madara/Tobi/Nameless clearly isn't fucking around. I like how Naruto told him to fuck off, he hasn't been this badass since the Pein arc.

Loved this chapter.

Bleach: Eh you know what, besides the random asspull I kinda actually liked this chapter. The parody chapters that accompanied these chapters made this a 100X better too. Can't wait to see Ichigo's bankai. Random fact about me: Ichigo's bankai is one of my favorite transformations in all of manga / anime (the byakuya vs Ichigo fight was a masterpiece because of it) and I HATED how kubo introduced the mask bullshit AND kept Ichigo in bankai for like 100+ chapters. It devalued it imo, but hopefully things are different this time.

One Piece:
The first half half was stellar, Luffy going all out against Noah was a treat. The 2nd half was a downer, I didn't like deux-ex machina sea king appearance (hell I dislike the sea kings in general) and on top of that, it looks like the arcs about done so things will slow down for quite some time. Hopefully oda switches over the the supernovas.

(I hate how they changed all the tropes to be generalized rather than specific)

One Piece

Weakhoshi isn't joining. Even if she was a viable candidate she'd still fall into the same problem as Vivi did: she's a princess whose dreams and motivations lie with her kingdom. Her dreams can't be fulfilled by journeying with the strawhats. In fact, assuming her dreams follow her mother's, it would be counterproductive since the World Government wouldn't look too kindly on a kingdom whose princess joins an infamous pirate crew.

She's also 90 feet tall and wouldn't fit on the damn boat.

Can you tell me what was ass pull about it?

She's also 90 feet tall and wouldn't fit on the damn boat.
She can swim beside them. Besides she is not that big.

Hitman Reborn!: B

Shit, this was a solid chapter. Good action, Hibari is the best character in this manga, and things are moving. Tsuna is such a bitch, and it's good to see that Hibari and Yamamoto weren't rendered worthless by Hibari.

Mukuro and Flan teaming up...how awesome. Let's see where this is going since it's getting interesting.

How are people calling the sea kings a deus ex machina when we've known for ages about Shirahoshi's ability to communicate and call them?

Or do you people not know what a Deus ex machina is?

Deus Ex Machina = Anything that ever occurs to get anybody out of any kind of situation. Duh.

Naruto

So why do all the impure world jinchuuriki appear to have their bijuu powers? doesn't make any sense.
For the same reasons Ginkaku and Kinkaku were able to use the Kyuubi chakra shroud, even though they weren't actual Jinchuuriki.

Further use of their Bijuu's powers could also be possible, due to the fact that they are being used as tools through the Rinnegan's technique, Rikudou Pain. Because Tobi is acting as the seventh path, Gedou, and the Bijuu are sealed within Gedou Mazou, there could be a way to sync them with their former Jinchuuriki somehow.

Maybe he infused them back.
Then they'd have to go through all the time and trouble of extracting and sealing them into Gedou Mazou again, and Tobi's supposed to be wrapping up this silly plan of his within the day.

Why do immortal zombie jichuuriki need a sharingan and a rinnegan?
They're there for the same reason that all of Nagato's Pain Rikudou had Rinnegan.

As a Naruto readers you should know it's best not to ask these questions that Kishi won't provide answers to.
Usually the answers are already there, people just aren't looking hard enough.

... Or at all. Sometimes it seems that way.

Kagami 20 - You know, I was thinking just that. We already
had Saki confess to him and the fact that they can switch means that he feels the same about her. So ... Saki's already basically a sealed deal, right?

Making it really hard for me to continue liking Satomi more than Saki. Just saying.

Blood Lad 11-20

That fight with Staz vs hybrid demon was pretty awesome. Staz is way overpowered now especially compared to wolf dude.

I have no idea where they going with that thief dude. I don't care about that girl or why she is pissed some dude stole her magic. I just want more fights from Staz

I need to get back to this, read the first volume months ago, way to busy to read manga right now but how long is it? has it finished yet?

edit: I noticed someone changed my avatar
I know it's you hito

now to find out what that cat girl is from

Well not everyone is like you. I'm a completionist so once I'm on something, I have to finish it.

I also feel like that one can't really have a proper opinion on something unless they've completely experienced it. If I were to write a series review for Naruto, I wouldn't do so without finishing it first. I feel like this should be the standard for anyone who wants to talk about these series, which is my main goal in reading both Naruto and Bleach.

To me anyone who tries to have an extensive opinion on something without finishing the thing they have an opinion on is someone with a failed opinion.

Then can you read it quietly. It's a nuisance to see this thread bumped with your whinging

Detonation Island volume 5

This volume was quite good. Takashi is slowly becoming a character I can respect, even if I don't agree with his life choices, since he is, little by little, growing up and making his mind up about certain issues, like wanting to work to earn money and stop being (and feeling like) a loser, although he still doesn't know what kind of career he could pursue, given that what interests him the most is driving his bike and taking part in the bikers gatherings.

He was quite cool in the first chapter of the volu,e when he went to the police and, at the end, declared to the policeman that had been throwing him and Ayase around all day with judo (they tricked them by asking if they wanted to exercise a little) that they would never get him to bend and that they'd be eternal enemies. A bit cheesy and childish, but shows how much he's chosen a certain path in life.

End of volume showed two interesting plot points (chapter being named problems fits perfectly). First, the new guy in the biker gang, who's a troublemaker with an attitude, which I'm sure will bring some side problems both for the gang as well as Takashi personally, given how he notices the guy is a troublemaker but he's different from the others since he has initiative.
The other is Takashi's father disappearance. Seems he got a huge debt and fled, leaving his wife and his son, so, with Takashi's mother telling him they'll have to sell the apartment (and who knows where they'll move), Takashi's love for the biker gang and no clear direction in his life as to what to do (but willingness to do something, to become someone big, yet no interest in joining the Yakuza) it should bring some bigger problems in his life. I'm curious mostly about the kind of choices he'll make.

Forgot, the color pages in the middle of the volume, with Takashi kissing Yuko as he's driving the bike was great.

Mirror World

I'm really enjoying how nonsensical the idea of "love" is here. Harisugawa himself didn't know he was in love with someone and the mirror did. That's something mental, right there.

Cage of Eden

Man they're really churning out chapters which is awesome. At this pace I can wait a month or so to let them stack up. I think I'll do it.
