Mario Galaxy pushed to christmas 2007?

If WiiFitness came out this year, it should win GOTY and make people lose weight without even realizing it and guess what, that is well worth playing more than any other game possible. Either that should win or hopefully the new Turok game is tits.

Really, you don't even need any HOT TIPS to see that it's likely to not be an Xmas release.

You'd have to be an idiot to think Nintendo would release Smash Bros, Mario, and Metroid in the same holiday season.

yeah I agree sadly, but this is nintendo... no way they changed just because of Wii unless they think the new IPs are worth it for 2008

I really wanted to see Galaxy this year but I know if it is slated for Q4 you may as well say spring 2008

I really do wonder what goes on at upper management at Nintendo sometimes.

I think it goes back to Miyamoto's attitude, and the whole philosophy of the company. I'm reading this magazine called 'File' which is a collection of bits from old issues of Edge, and in an interview with Miyamoto in June 1995 they ask him what the secret of a good game is, and he says "A game is finished when a creator decides it is."

Thankfully they have the resources to delay games when they're not ready, so we don't get the kind of crap that some publishers are forced to turn out on a regular basis. This attitude has paid dividends over the last twenty years so why change now?

IAWTP.

...left thread.

So what should they do with this delay?

I think... well while they are at it add an online co-op to Super Mario Galaxy

4 players limit is fine with me.

Can you imagine Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad on the same little round planet going around stomping turtles? :D

Because they don't want Mario platformers to become as worthless a purchase as Madden now is?

Erm, there's a difference between releasing a sequel every year, and not starting on a sequel to one of your flagship titles at the last minute. I'm not wanting yearly Mario platformers, but I'm questioning the ineptness at Nintendo for not making sure there was a Mario title at launch. (or SSBB either)

Yes because the lack of Mario or Smash Bros at launch was clearly the reason they couldn't sell many Wii consoles
