Gotta wait for sakurai to upload a pic arount that time conviently so I can wait lol.
I really don't see what the huge anticipation is all about. They won't share anything regarding online which is probably the biggest component. They would only have hands-on time with a limited amount of tracks and modes (probably couldn't play battle mode).
It will most likely play similarly to MK7 which is the best MK so far.
And I highly doubt impressions of the game will affect anyone's purchase decision. Mario Karts are always must buys even if it may not be good lol.

We know how it plays, we want to see more.

GameXplain should have some good coverage going by their E3 videos for MK8.

I want to watch runs through courses over and over again, not some trailer with fancy schmancy camera angles.

That's....all I need to see honestly. Just some actual gameplay of some seen (from recent trailers) and maybe unseen courses would suffice. See a mode or two, get a little gist on the music.
Heck I wouldn't mind just a look at the menu screen.

I can confirm that this is a kart in the game though. It's in a special mode called Shopping Kart where you go around the tracks with shopping carts spread through them and you need to fit in as many as possible. As you get more and more carts, it gets harder to control.
Do it Nintendo.

The Boat kind of deflated my hype, but any new footage of new tracks is exciting, as well as game info.

But in reality just new gameplay. Every time they show it off it looks better and better. They could just have runs of some of the more recent tracks and everyone would be satisfied. It's press previews, not an official Nintendo announcement so nothing too earthshaking. Just sweet zero G karting
The only retro course I truely want more than anything else. Really wanna drive to peach's castle courtyard in HD.
I don't know if I feel good or bad about this.

Why not both?! Yoshi Valley with more routes will be great. Once I found the quickest route, I never did go the others way again.
The track design is stellar. It can even have a gliding section now.
So many great times on this track.
I just realized, doesn't the gamepad's screen have the same thing as MK7's in the E3 demo? As in you can see what items other characters have. That would give a pretty big advantage to gamepad users. I hope they disable that for multiplayer.

See how the icons change next to the characters? It is there and it seems it is enabled in local multiplayer. I hope they disable it for multiplayer all together.

I wouldnt be surprised if they kept it.
In Pikmin 3 bingo battle mode, the gamepad user gets to see where everything is, on the gamepad map.
