Where? I keep reading this but I dont understand how this rumour started.

If you mean beneath the Switch console: 1) The game case doesnt fit naturally, it has to be jammed in and 2) If you force a game case in it leaves no room for the Switch to go in the box.


Im not saying they couldnt but that the current box design doesnt have any room for game cases

A lot of people like Mario Kart and the majority of people who want a Switch would get that game. Why not bundle it? No one is gonna buy a Switch by itself.

I think Mario Odyssey is fake too. It's just Nintendo trolling everyone guys.
 
If this gets released in other territories (I.e not a Russian exclusive thing), they must be prepping a crap load of systems for MK8 launch. More than we might expect.

I think it's more that the box looks fake. Plus you can't even see the listing on the site unless you're in Russia.

Already have a switch but this is just making me more excited for mk8. Kind of glad I have only played this a few times on wii u so it will be a new experience for me.
 
The bundle itself is really attractive. Mario Kart is an ever green title that has shown it's prowess as a system seller.

Also wtf at people believing this will be $250 or even $300 this close after launch, specially when it's still supply constrained going well within its second month

Yeah. It's ludicrous to be even talking about $250 or $300. Nintendo is a business they have to make some money too. Geez

Hmnn, I wrongly assumed they were replacing the stand-alone console with the bundle. Meaning that everyone would have to buy a bundled version and therefore spend a little more. My mistake!

If you don't think Switch is worth $300 then you shouldn't have bought it. Technology has been dropping in price for as long as you've been alive, so it shouldn't be a surprise when price drops happen. You should be happy for the people who are newly able to get a Switch when the price drop comes.

they tried to prove that this bundle was fake by writing "bayonetta-3" in their url as if everyone was just assuming the link was real because someone wrote it and not because, y'know, we can actually view where it goes. lol.

I'm not arguing it hasn't. The Switch has barely been out for 5 weeks, way to stick it to those people who bought a launch unit in March 2017....by giving away a huge game like Mario kart a month later. . Anyways, we don't have a price-point so until we do, this is a pretty moot line of discussion. I just don't think Nintendo is going to stick it to month 1 buyers within two months of the system being available on the market.
 
Hopefully they've got an enormous stock of these ready to go for the 28th so they can sell out in 5 minutes and win the news again.
 
One thing the Wii U had going for it was the themed U logo on all the bundles. A shame that's likely not going to continue with Switch.

Even though I was going to get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe anyways, I don't regret buying my totally awesome Neon Switch on launch day at all.

to be fair, the russian pricing is as follows:

solo switch 22,500 rubles
switch + mk8 bundle 25,000 rubles
mario kart 8 deluxe 3700 rubles

so it's only really a saving of around $30, plus you got to play zelda since the beginning of march while this will launch at the end of april :P
 
I mean a Mario Kart bundle makes sense. A port of the most profitable Nintendo franchise bundles makes a lot of sense. They don't need to make massive returns (even though it will, probably more than the Wii U version at some point) being it's a port so it's not risky to bundle it, right?
 
Seems odd to be putting out a bundle like this if they're still selling out everything they put on the shelf. Maybe their increased production has finally caught up and they can start pumping these into stores?

we don't know if it'll be ww yet, it could just be for certain markets.

That whole store is shonky though. Its probably not a real nintendo store hence being called Mir Nintendo (which from what i can tell means nintendo world)

They will sell you a switch and copy of mario kart 8 together sure, but its not an official bundle
