Mario Kart 8 Switch Bundle Leaked

Such a bright artwork theme for MK8D but no neon controllers? ball dropped.

Neon as well

Idk why people are expecting a $300 pricepoint.

The 3DS took a price cut because sales nosedived. You can't keep a Switch on a store shelf in most places.

Price on the site (nintendo.ru) is 24 999 rubel for the bundle ($440, €414, £350) and 22 499 for a regular switch ($395, €372, £316), so a difference of 2500 rubel for comparison ($44, €41, £35), or assuming vat is 18% (quick google), that would be $37 without vat (€35, £29,5)

I will never understand how you guys like the neon joy-cons. Seems like for years all I read from here and other sites was how "FisherPrice" Nintendo products look. Then the sleek and cool looking gray joy-cons are revealed and people are clamoring for the bright red and blue ones.

I've held both versions in my hands and the grays just look so much better to me.

I have blue and red Wii Remotes with a Wii U Basic Model, so, I was delighted to learn that neon colours would exist on the Switch. My sole criticisms of recent Nintendo controllers are that they haven't retained the Japanese/European SNES colour coding for the buttons. New 3DS addressed this problem to an extent, but for home consoles, I felt that this was one area that could be better. I don't care for disablist "Fisher Price" comments, because, for me, I found it easier to process.

sounds like a game cost + switch bundle to me then

There's a small discount (about 1200 RUB) here.

Also, Europe and Russia aren't the US. It's not that difficult to get a unit here. When it is, it's mostly because of Nintendo's incredibly small shipments.

and you thought finding a switch now was hard.

good luck folks, I still see lines....LINES of people trying to get one on Saturdays at Best Buy......this console is fucking insane in hype
I walked past a shop today which was offering a second hand Switch for just € 425

Yeah you're reading this right. Nintendo needs to keep momentum up.

yes, going to be watching tonight for a buddy......I hate the fact that I passively am searching for these damn things for friends lol

There's also another Direct "leak" on 4chan that came out ~3 hours before people found this bundle. And in it, it lists "Switch Bundle pack showcase"

I can see them doing something like: MK8D+Switch bundle in NA/Europe, and Splatoon2+Switch bundle in Japan. I don't see them bundling ARMS.

Neat.

Will wait till holiday; maybe then Nintendo will give a fuck about fulfilling the demand.

Naaaah, Nintendo don't give a shit, who am I kidding.

Hnngh. I said I'd hold out.. But a definitive Mario Kart game.. hm....

What about the issues about the joycons and the dock scratching. What's going on with that?
Any resolution for those kind of problems?

Sounds like it was a production problem in the initial batch that has already been corrected at the plant level. Even the fix is stupid easy.

They doubled their initial production to 16mil. It's hard to fill demand when everyone wants one.

Um, go on... What was the rest of the leak?

-BotW Hard Mode introduction, new flying dungeons and the Cave of Trials, a 50 room dungeon
-Switch VC, 80 titles launching May 12th, including F-Zero, Paper Mario and OoT. Prices from $1.99 (GB games) to $10 (N64).
-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
-Mario vs Donkey Kong Mini Shift for Switch
-Splatoon 2, June 30th
-ARMS, May 26th
-Third party stuff, Rayman Legends and Steamworld Dig 2 amiibo
-Ever Oasis
-Miitopia
-Crashmo World (Switch)
-Fire Emblem Echoes
-Corrin (M and F) Smash Bros amiibos
-Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch in fall, 3DS in winter)

These last two pieces of info are the ones that lead me to believe this is fake. they wouldn't dare to announce new Smash amiibos without announcing the port and without saying where the hell are the Cloud and Bayonetta amiibos. Also why would they release Fire Emblem 3DS first? It makes no sense.

This was posted on April 5th, though.

Allegedly, according to WSJ. And it was doubling their initial production estimate of 8m for FY17, meaning April '17 to April '18 in which the production would be 16m. We don't know how fast it is from production to retail though, or what kind of numbers they've already done for production.

Wait so on April 5th this guy said there would be a direct on the 13th? That's really specific. Hmmm... it's hard to believe some of this stuff though.

Of all that crazy wish thinking only the last 2 triggered the bullshit flag for you?

This cannot be real- If it is, it confirms the theory videogames don't necessarily need to have a strong launch lineup to actually sell.

It's definitely real, and you're confusing having a wide variety of titles with having a strong launch lineup. BotW is probably the best console launch game since Mario 64 (if not better).

80 VC titles would make sense for any company but Nintendo. That's the hilarious part. If they decided to be normal this would be believable.
