That shows that you shouldnt even be part of the conversation, and that you entered this thread purly to call people fanboys.
I asked a question about Peta because I wanted to know about them. *shrug* How this disqualifies me from a conversation, I dunno. I wasn't conversing so much as having a laugh anyhow.

Well, I hope that video, and that website answered your questions about PETA.

Thus the reason I even started the thread. I cant stand PETA, and would like nothing more then to see them get thier ass's sued right off.

My problem with this is that I love to kill chickens. As many of them as I can, in as spectacularly gory a fashion as possible.

If chickens had a problem with it, they'd do something about it, instead of just clucking about waiting for me to murder them.

Im Laughing at the Peta Defenders here actually. Did you cry foul against the God of War Goat sacrifice as well? Just wondering.

This is definetly grounds for a cease and dessist letter by Nintendos lawyers.

Peta have good intentions and have done a lot of good work overall but I really don't like the manner in which they go about business at times. The way many areas of the meat industry goes about the treatment of animals is horrendous, to me a lot of it is right up there with child abuse.

However, I don't think that the cheaper, sensationalist stunts they pull help the cause all that much. People see Peta activists dousing people in red paint or brandishing placards where surely getting videos of what goes on in these places to a wider audience would be far more effective. I do understand the meat industry has massive sway and will suppress a lot of this shit, but still...I do think Peta could do better than they often end up doing.
Yeah pretty much. That Yoshi picture is fucking hilarious though.

Isn't a peta, like, something to eat?

Take out the "e" and replace it with "i" then it's considered an edible delicacy.
Here's a pic:

I can't believe how many fanboys are dying to go tattle on some corny web-based game.

All you internetz police should go to Newgrounds.com, where there are hundreds of other copyright-infringing flash games for you to bring to the attention of Nintendo's legal department.

oh, please. have you considered that the "tattling" stems from an undying desire to put PETA out of commission rather than some sort of perverse fanboy loyalty?

I know PETA has a rep as being crazy, but if you know anything about KFC, you can't help but side with PETA on this one. Its awful. I stopped going to KFC about 3 years ago when I found out about the complete disrespect of life.

The chicken is already dead, who gives a hoot how they kill the chicken as long as the meat isn't poisoned?

If DHS/FBI/CIA find out a link between the Earth Liberation Front being funded by PETA, if "Team America" is serious about fighting terrorism, they would give PETA some hell. ;)

considered and rejected. i'm sure moku and co. are partly fueled by right wing talk radio, but shameful nintendo love is the obvious prime mover

Keeping your IPs from being associated with undesirable or potentially brand-damaging things is exactly the reason IP rights exist.

I doubt Nintendo cares much about some silly PETA flash game, but they certainly wouldn't be happy about it.

:lol

"Right wing radio talk"

I actually listen almost exclusivly to NPR when i'm in transit anywhere DR. d.

It's PETA who I cannot stand. Just a pathetic orginization in every facit. Nothing could be more awesome then to see Nintendo ninjas put the hurt on those crazies.

Two questions. Did anyone in this thread actually write a comment to Nintendo about this?
Also, Did anyone analyze the page that discussed parody law and relate it to the current issue?

The United States signed into the Berne Convention, which is now a part of the WTO, and there is a special provision of author's 'moral rights' to protect it from 'vulgar parody'. I just wonder if that provision would stop legal parody in the United States even though I want Nintendo to hammer down the petarrorists.

And the manchilds sink to another level. They're not digging anymore, or drilling, they've ripped open a new dimension and flung down with light speed. The Pathetic meter is at infinity.

Anyway, anybody think killing animals for food is really disgusting but still eat meat...? I don't know, I guess it's because I'm not actually capable of changing anything, so why not. I don't now if I would if I can though, don't know, hmmm... It's even sicker seeing people say this makes them hungry, though I guess PETA maybe is to blame for that, I don't now anything about them or their supposed insanity. Moku hates them though, they can't be that bad.

Really, I keep imagining human parts at the meat section when I shop sometimes. What if scenarios. It pisses me off what Ramsay does in his The F Word show, raising animals then killing them. It's as if he enjoys the killing part - and even sicker making his children attached to them. He could be so scared of vegetarians that he started that program to vaccinate his children against ever turning. Still, I wonder what he'd say if a superior race come down from space and found humans tasty and raised his children in a cage to fatten them up and the only thing he can do is campaign for a fast death, haha. Not gonna happen if the boil them like lobsters though. That's sick. :lol

This is all temprary really, meat will eventually be grown in the future...

The Conscience of a Carnivore.

Edit: about that technology, if all they need are cells from the animals, what would stop somebody from taking human cells and making... human steaks? baby fillets? OMG. :x

If you're going to equate a chicken to a human, you might as well equate a carrot to a chicken to a human.

PETA murders millions of carrots, but nobody cares because carrots can't scream.

I am a vegetarian. I also stopped eating KFC years ago when I still ate meat. But PETA sucks and so does anyone who follows them. They are insane. again, I am a vegetarian. I only eat eggs and milk wich are come from animals who free roam, but Peta still sucks.

KFC sucks. What they do is unnatural and gross. Again, even when I ate meat I thought so. I don't believe there is anything wrong with eating meat. I was blown away by a lot of recent research into animal intelligence (it doesn't work the way my parents told me...) and made changes in my own life, but Peta is overboard.

The message is okay, and the game aint terrible but I cant defend those PETA fucktards.

Also, Copyright lawsuits (I just took entertainment business) usually hinge on wether or not the public could be confused. Parody is protected, but only if you'd have to be completely stupid to not recognize it as such. I honestly think they are asking a for a suit for publicity.

Sorry about spelling... I'm sleepy.

Imagine if they could though.

My ass it's legal, you can't just use someone else's copyrighted property. Heck, even Mario's name is copyrighted with a copyright symbol in every press release Nintendo send out. Then again, I didn't study law rights...

as sick as it maybe, i pray for the day that it's proven that vegetables can feel pain too.

as for this growing meat thing... i wouldn't have any problem with it, but you know that it flies in the face of the current trend for entirely natural or organic foods. people wouldn't eat it right now even if it was identical in every way to regular meat. fuck, in that thread about BACON SALT some people were all 'oh no it contains partially hydrogenated vegetable oil so i can't eat it'. i mean, 'oh no this SALT that contains artificial meat flavourings contains a negligible amount of trans fats from this chemically altered substance and i know those are bad cause i read it in the paper.

heck they wouldn't eat grown meat if it was *better*.

also, i have a feeling that PETA would find the notion distasteful too... though that's just baseless speculation on my part.

as for using this to eat endangered species or 'human' meat... why not? what'd be the harm?

it'd be hilarious to hear people moralising that eating grown baby was somehow worse than slaughtering an animal to eat a tiny percentage of it.

2) "If I don't charge for it, it's not a violation."
False. Whether you charge can affect the damages awarded in court, but that's main difference under the law. It's still a violation if you give it away -- and there can still be serious damages if you hurt the commercial value of the property. There is an exception for personal copying of music, which is not a violation, though courts seem to have said that doesn't include widescale anonymous personal copying as Napster. If the work has no commercial value, the violation is mostly technical and is unlikely to result in legal action. Fair use determinations (see below) do sometimes depend on the involvement of money.

Well, without KFC, we wouldn't have
zyulylibdijowigjmrm0.jpg

SO we wouldn't have Jordon, so we wouldn't have a target to hit in GH 1 + 2.

KFC is worth it for this.

Is animal intelligence one of the reasons some become vegetarian? I don't understand this - would you eat a retarded human?

lol at Mario made out as a bad guy towards fictional monsters.

Funny story, I have a huge crush on this girl who's a member of PETA 2. PETA 2 is the "cool" PETA that's here to attract such "awesome" kids as Matthew "Gay God" Lush and some shitty emo bands.

While I respect her views on not earthing animals I take time out of my day to show her facts about just how much evil PETA does. I also go out of my way to eat raw meat and other gross shit.

Edit: I just realized, I like alot of girls that are PETA 2 members...ZOMG I LIKE THE OPPOSITE OF ME!
