Having dedicated servers for Gears would certainly help the lag problems that plague the 360 game. I love Gears online, but I think I'd love Gears online more with dedicated servers on the PC.

Also, any announcement sort of confirming that Gears will come to PC undoubtedly makes some people reconsider a 360 purchase. I don't think you can dispute that.

LOL @ Mark Rein... The 7600-level GPU in the 360 will sure require 5 years of PC upgrades! Unless he's waiting for everyone's PC to have ONBOARD VIDEO that can play Gears, anyone who has a decent enough gaming PC today can play Gears as it is now. Hell, I only have a $200 7800GTX and I'll be able to play it with AA/AF (unlike the console version).

From what I remember reading in a rumour mill a couple months back, much as Epic outsourced the creation of some of Gears 360, they are outsourcing parts of the PC port too, and that it will be "sooner" rather than "later" that we'll see the PC port pop up. For the life of me, I wish I remember where I saw that piece of info, but nevertheless I did see it.

Nice to hear Epic's working on another Gears update though, looking forward to it when I finally get my 360 online(need a wireless router boohoo).

Oh and they'll end up using Games for Windows for Gears PC I imagine so hey I still win.

Seeing how many past console games are available in some form on the PC, and with there being no doubt that the same thing will happen with this current batch of consoles, why should I even bother spending 1200 qag'nars on a console? All I need to do is wait a decade, and then all those precious "console exclusives" will be available in their superior form, namely with holo-keyboard and hover-mouse support.

...And oh how I do look forward to playing Forza Motorsports 8 with that superior HK+HM setup. Precise Driving FTW.
