Wut

Well, I guess I have to watch Iron Fist now.

That's more or less my takeaway.

It's for sure worth a watch and isn't as bad as the reviews make it look to be.

I agree with what another user posted, that the base line of Iron Fist is actually more consistent than Jessica Jones or Luke Cage were. The thing is though that the best parts of Iron Fist aren't near as good as the best parts of Cage or Jones so I still rate it below both but I don't think IF has near the lows say the 2nd half of Luke Cage does

I just watched the first episode. 'Twas okay. Definitely a different Danny, but I kinda feel like crazy-bum-danny is 'Immortal Iron Fist' on a particularly bad day. I'm not repulsed yet.

Featuring all your favorite Netflix heroes...and Iron Fist.

Hopefully Luke can salvage him into a decent sidekick.

IMO once you come to understand that he's not a fully realized Iron Fist yet and has a lot of room to grow as both a person and a weapon, he's a much more relatable version of Danny than in most comics.

Show is definitely sloppy beyond normal standards but it's not a dumper fire. I think it's more consistent than Jessica Jones but doesn't reach quite the same heights. If they didn't mess up big time on some key episodes it probably would have been my 2nd favorite after Daredevil.

Hopefully with this cast they'll fix the pacing issues Marvel Netflix shows have. They always start really strong, then slog for the middle episodes and bring it back to awesomeness for the final two or three.

Yeah, this looks fantastic. Loving how colourful it looks!

Really looking forward to this. Like, as a MCU fan, I'm genuinely looking forward to this more than Infinity War.

And yeah, the hallway fight at the end is hilarious, given how much of a meme it's become at this point. I imagine it's going to be a struggle for the writers to make Matt look competent in comparison to the rest of the team, two of whom are bulletproof and are imbued with super strength. Sort of makes me think of that hallway scene in Iron Man 2 where Black Widow effortlessly takes out about a dozen security guards in about the space of a second, whereas Happy Hogan spends ages struggling against just one.

huh? Why?
First of all, JJ is not bullet proof.
Second of all, Matt is the only one of the group who has demonstrated any useful level of stealth.
He could probably take out a comparable number of goons as the rest of them givent hat he is much faster than all of them except Danny.

The show's quality dramatically decreases once Elektra and the Hand bs appear.

Only if you like to pretend that Ninja's don't exist in street level Marvel which makes no sense.

This opinion exists!? Holy shit.

I know right? Good lord Elektra and (especially) Stick are garbage. The best thing that could possibly happen to the Marvel TV universe is for Stick to get unceremoniously beaten to death with his own stick and thrown in a dumpster never to be heard from again.

Is Danny Rand a whiny bitch in the comics?

Got really tired of his act throughout Iron Fist, and he seems like the same here.

The hallfights are pretty fun and look really good. How do other superhero series deliver in the action department?

If by action you mean the very small moments between the random drama and break ups where the heroes get pummeled by the villains constantly, then yeah, it's top tier.

No, he's a charming and generally upbeat guy. He can be a bit of a doofus, but nowhere near the clueless idiot the Netflix version is.

Looks OK.
As someone that has only watched Daredevil 1 and 2 am I going to have to sit through Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist before watching this? I'm hoping I can still enjoy the story without watching those other shows first?

The thing about hallfway fight scenes is that the best one has already been done 14 years ago. Why are you even trying to compete, dawg? Doesn't matter how incredible yours is. That's a battle you're going to lose.

Any one of the numerous hallway fights in Raid 1 or 2 is better.

Stop getting so hung up on the fact that street level superheroes will often fight in buildings, which have hallways.

I'm struggling to get through the last two episodes of Iron Fist. I just can't fucking take this Danny Rand seriously.

Also need to get back into Luke Cage. I think I left it 5 episodes in for some reason.

Seems to be tying into the previous shows way more than I suspected it would, with the characters at least with Elektra picking up where we last left her. Guess I need to watch Iron Fist? Danny is undeniably the weakest link here.

The dialog doesn't exactly fill me with confidence, but at the very least it looks like fun.

Decent trailer.

For those worried about slogging through Iron Fist, I just watched the first and last episode and didn't feel I missed a beat. That must have been a very boring 11 episodes in between.
