The Tony Stark/Steve Rogers beef will never end, will it?
Sam Wilson is Cap these days.

first off, you have the best avatar on NeoGAFIt's always weird stumbling into an inside joke you're not aware of.
Still pretty funny though. Always assumed it was a heat beam or something.
Cyclops possesses the mutant ability to project a beam of heatless, ruby-colored concussive force from his eyes, which act as interdimensional apertures between this universe and another. Cyclops body constanty absorbs ambient energy, such as sunlight, from his environment into his bodys cells, which allows him to open the apertures. Cyclops mind generates a psionic field that is attuned to the forces that maintain the apertures
LOL! saving this image, but this is exactly how it works. That's exactly right
Bendis won't want to miss out on dat exposure.Kinda scream shameless movie tie-in, isn't it?
I have a feeling this may have to do withthat was touched upon in recent Invincible Ironman issues.the cure for the mutant gene
Sam Wilson is Cap these days.
Huh... had no idea.
So Cyclopse's beam is like getting punched in the face by light or what?
That's exactly right
So if Cyclops eyes are portals to another dimension how does he see?
Always looking for an excuse to post this.
I LOVE Bendis for street-level heroes, some of his other series I read I didn't dig as much. But I don't like it when people automatically shit on him, when he's written Daredevil, Ultimate Spider-Man, Jessica Jones Alias, etc.
EhhhhhHe also did Secret Invasion, which was awesome. He can do this.
Had potential but ended up being quite a mess, just like all his other big crossover events. Best one he did was Dark Reign and that wasn't even a proper event. He also did Secret Invasion, which was awesome. He can do this.
It was Civil War in an alternate universe where it never ended the way it did in the comics and was still going on years later. There was actually a big twist in that it ended up beingDidn't they just return to Civil War in Secret Wars? And didn't Hickman's Avengers have a central heroes v heroes plot that ended with Stark and Cap brawling at the end of the world? Why we gotta do this again? I mean, I know why we're doing this again... but why we gotta do this again?

Is Bendis Marvel's Geoff Johns?
In a comic? NEVER
The "Time Runs Out" Avengers vs Illuminati arc in Hickman's Avengers was really good, especially because of this moment:

In what respect? Johns is most famous for Green Latern and the Flash which aren't exactly street level characters. If you just mean on a general level that they've both written a shitload for their respective companies and although they're both good writers they written so many comics that the average comic book fan has seen their flaws 1000 times by now and is kinda sick of them then yeah.
Old Man Steve swear he can just tell folks what to do, he must forgot who he was talking too.Had potential but ended up being quite a mess, just like all his other big crossover events. Best one he did was Dark Reign and that wasn't even a proper event.

It was a real shame it was just a Secret Wars tie-in mini-series since I'd love to have seen it expanded on a bit more.Secret Invasion

Uncanny X-Men Bendis, because I really liked that book.Which Bendis will this be?
Guardians of the Galaxy Bendis or Daredevil Bendis?
Samesies.This. Smh
Steve and Sam aren't on good terms either. The reason for this might actually be really interesting. I'm assuming that Cap will be going after Tony for what he did during his time with the Illuminati, but then again, they're working together in ANAD Avengers, so I dunno. So a proxy war.

Secret Invasion was awesome?
Well, the MCU is still a fairly new phenomenon so yeah it actually hasn't been relevant in comics till recently with the additions of Coulson, Nick Fury jr. the change ups in Avengers lineup, etc. I personally hope this doesn't become standard because it will just stunt creativity in comics (yea I know here comes the jokes). If they are really hell bent on making a comic series tie in to the MCU they should just start a MCU comic series ala Ultimate Marvel.
Yeah. And it lead to Dark Reign and Siege, which were also awesome.
They're the big exclusive writers for their companies, don't really write much image work, and face a lot of criticism from fans but still sell truckloads.
don't tell anyone but I like John's work. The first two volumes in N52 JL were a snore though.
I liked Bendis' Avengers stuff for the most part. He can do team books nicely.
Event books? Nobody can do those right. Did you guys blame Grant Morrison for Final Crisis, too?

Sinestro Corp War was the best DC event I read imo
Just so much fun.
I haven't read Johns' even stuff. Infinity was good, you got me there. Still, most of the time someone gets assigned an event book and it's really creation by committee and barely reads like their work.
I have yet to read secret war, the leadup I've read has been good. Same for Civil War though...
Did you read Forever Evil? Read it, read it, read it...
did cyclops ever get his powers working properly
i remember they were on the fritz after avx
Old Man Steve swear he can just tell folks what to do, he must forgot who he was talking too.
So it's guaranteed to suck ass?Civil War II: The Legend of Curly's gold

Cyclops is James Marsden all of a sudden.
Annihilation was really good too.I haven't read Johns' event stuff. Infinity was good, you got me there. Still, most of the time someone gets assigned an event book and it's really creation by committee and barely reads like their work.

In a Bendis book?! yeah they kind of let that plot line drop.
What is she wearing?![]()
The panel before this is Mystique going "where did you get the tongue from?" in so many words.
What is she wearing?
Did you read Forever Evil? Read it, read it, read it...
You kidding? SW is already better than Infinity! Everything died! Punisher uses all his bullets!Annihilation was really good too.
Secret Wars has been excellent so far, despite the lengthy delays. I don't think it'll be better than Infinity after it's over since that event had two Hickman Avengers books flanking the main series.
Maybe not in Marvel but in DC yeah...they coincidentally gave Batman this costume

when the Tim Buton movies were popular. They also brought back vicki vale as a regular member of the cast for the first time since the 60s.
Strange as it is, Tim Drake was created to tie in with the movie too. The original script for the 89 Batman movie had Robin in it. When DC killed Robin the Warner Bros execs demanded that they have a new Robin in time for the movie. DC created Tim Drake and then Robin got dropped from the script.
To be fair didn't all that happen because of X-men Forever?![]()
