Marvel Heroes 2016 |OT3| Highway to the Danger Room

I've put not even ten power points into my characters tree yet somehow I'm trouncing everything with Magik (level 23). When an enemy hits me it does like 20 damage. I've been playing through the story mode so I'm not camping in one area and grinding. Is Magik just overpowered?

These sort of loot driven dungeon crawlers are mostly about wrecking a whole bunch of dudes and watching shit pop off. For the most part, they're not really tuned for high difficulty unless you are talking about like late game Diablo 3 opt-in difficulty levels. Basic level Diablo is extremely easy too. Just enjoy the piñatas~!

It's the end game content that starts to get difficult. Cosmic Danger Rooms, Terminals, Raids. Cosmic trials. It's difficult. But it's more waiting for good drops and grinding your way towards the best gear than actual difficulty.

It's fun though. You'll enjoy the ride the there as along as you enjoy this Diablo style game. Now start collecting some heroes.

OK so I'm really trying to get into this game today but when I move and attack nothing happens. Luke Cage just keeps moving but doesn't attack. What gives?

Sometimes if you don't click on an enemy exactly you will move to wherever you clicked, is that's what's happening? Do you have any other attacks slotted into your hotbar?

Started playing again today after a long break. Got Doom from 16 to 40 mostly in Midtown. There's something so satisfying about blowing shit to pieces in this game.

Could I get a supergroup invite please? Username mightyflub

So I am playing through the story missions for the first time and I noticed there is no real way to track the location of where you are supposed to be going.

I assume this is by design so that people explore the maps instead of just running through the story missions? The icon for the story mission only ever really pops up when you're close to the objective.

Took me forever to find Lotown and I want to make sure I am not missing some sort of option for an objective marker.

I've found that if you out bring out the map overlay via TAB it makes it easier to find the the objectives, and generally the maps are pretty linear. If you're looking for certian location just keep pushing forward. Also make sure to read where the location of things are at in the quest log.

Thanks.

Apparently Midtown Madness hasn't been turned on :(

The drops in Cosmic Midtown are insanely better than regular Midtown though lol

Hit 30 with Cyclops yesterday. Still a ways off from 60 obviously, but curious which character I should level next. I think I saw some stuff online suggesting Gambit was a good one to level early, but what do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

activated at 5 lol, just after I finished work

Shame you can't use MM boxes to level up prestiged characters fast any more :(

What are they best for now? Gearing new lvl 60s?

yes. or leveling legendaries I guess, but that takes a while. mostly a fast way to insta get your 5 uniques on a new lvl 60 hero usually

Cyclops is only really useful for his lv50 synergy. If you're talking about Gambit's synergy then don't bother as it's mostly useless.

As a character though I find him pretty fun and his damage is good, not top of the pack or anything but good.

It's kind of hard to go wrong with any hero atm. Apart from Deadpool who needs his review (couple of weeks) and Taskmaster you'll be fine no matter who you go with. I'd suggest going with someone who's character you like.

How do you play Jean Grey? I heard she was good, but I can't get a handle on a rotation for her.

Just lay down your aoes and while they're on cd spam telekinetic throw.

Make sure to use Physic Lethargy before mind crush cause the vulnerability will give mind crush +25% dmg.

Ideal, I'll save them for newly leveled heroes then rather than my Doom

need a stash tab for these boxes, will any hero tabs work for MM boxes?

So what should I be doing with crafting stuff (elements and particles specifically)? Just save them for late game? I've been keeping everything so far

Cool cool. My plan right now is to play any character that looks fun and already has a costume I really like (without having to buy one). Then letting whatever costumes I get naturally guide me to the next
assuming there isn't a costume sale between now and then lol
.

Keep the pure elements and maybe refined (that's what i do). They're the ones you'll need the most and you can always break them down later via the crafter if you need low level elements.

Should I basically get rid of the rest (ie donate to the crafter) then. My stash is getting a little full.

Just keep pure elements or elements you know you are going to use right away (and I do mean right away) and if you can spare the room. Otherwise, discard them all.

They are very easy to come by.

This week, we're doing some iterations on Deadpool's internal testing feedback, fixing lots of bugs from the December publish, and finalizing assets for AP-wait uh nevermind pretend you did not read that, please.

advance pack god dammit people. The heroes that are going to be released this year.

Prestiged NC, since I got prestiged IM to 60.

MM is great for leveling, all these free costumes are great for the blender

This thread made me updated the game and play again. I have Hawkeye at level 39, Storm, and Taskmaster both at level 1. What are some good melee characters? I'm planning on getting one with my eternity splinters.

Got She Hulk through the Cosmic Trial tonight.
I could beat Madam Hydra pretty consistently (with 30-ish seconds left on the clock), but had lots of trouble with Skull and the Sentinels. Eventually I took the cheesy option and used a Deadpool team up, so he could freeze the enemies. This is the first time Ive had to use him to get through. General consensus in the SH forums seems to be that She Hulk has problems. She is still fun though.

Spidey, Cap, Thing, Hulk

Magik, Blade (if you go melee spec on them), Spidey. Iron Fist is good too but can lack some aoe until a little later in his kit.

I got through just fine with Chi Burst. Yeah, he doesn't have the best aoe, but it's not like he has none from the start, especially if the only thing you're doing with him is just leveling.

I'd add that Venom is definitely one of my favorite melee characters, but he's definitely a "your mileage may vary" character as some people don't like him much.

I went twin stance serpent/leopard build as soon as I hit 47 and it increased my enjoyment of the char quite a bit. The serpent aoe+DoT cloud with the leopard teleporty strike is pretty decent aoe, even if both abilities have cooldowns.

ALSO a post in the official forums about how V/O work for a playable blackbolt would be funny and ryolnir's response was "It'll certainly be an interesting recording session", not it would be." BLACKBOLT CONFIRMED.

Ok guys I googled Black bolt
