Marvel Heroes 2016 |OT3| Highway to the Danger Room

Green NC to 60. Prestiged Colossus.

Blended NCs 2 costumes and Colossus' one and got Winter Soldiers Winter costume. I don't have WS but if I place the costume on him now will i still get his default one when I uncap him?

I've been playing summoners since I came back and fancy hitting up some melee

Here's what I have waiting

Black Widow
Cap
Daredevil
Gambit
Juggs
Loki (He's a melee summoner isn't he?)
Luke Cage
She-Hulk
Thor
Thing
Venom
Wolverine
X-23

I did Hulk months ago and loved him. Which out of the above do you think is the most fun to level?

And where the hell did I get all these characters from? That's just the melee ones

Been prestiging Deadpool, he is no where near as bad as I thought he as was going to be. I'm actually having fun leveling him. I kind of hope they don't change him up too much when the review hits.

If you can deal with combo points (a lot of people can't) Daredevil is quite good, also I have a lot of fun with gambit.

X-23 is another good choice, constantly jumping around the screen.

Heroic Green Goblin would be interesting, remember when Phil was a good guy?

I still think they should just open the flood gates for villains. Trying to rationalize currently playable villains as heroes is dumb IMO. There are so many villains that could add some real variety.

But, but, all that immersion breaking when you save civilians as Thanos!

Thanos as a hero makes 10 times more sense than Goblin

I might have accidentally bought Spiderman. Damn. Well I'd best make the best of it an level her.

Yeah her. I got the Spider Gwen costume as well

The only immersion breaking comes from them giving you shitty default costumes instead of good ones under the guise of "this is what they used when they were good" tho.

Accidentally too, I'm sure. ;P

Spider-Gwen is great.

My friend said Gaz confirmed Thanos at a con. I don't know how true that is.

my friend's uncle's wife's brother-in-law's neighbor confirmed Kaine for 2016. Good news for Drayco I guess

They did confirm him,
as a raid boss.

can you confirm any of the 2016 heroes besides Angela Frost?
go with a super safe one so in case it happens, that little 1% doubt if you actually work there remains :p

Think Spidey will be my next hero. Sat at 598 splinters atm, leveling Colossus, hopefully reach green 60 tonight thanks to Midtown Madness.

Level 30 with the lovely Miss Gwen and I'm not feeling melee at all. It's difficult, low damage and very hard to pull off in a scrum. Switch to a ranged spec and she's eating stuff alive. What am I missing?

I've played my fair share of Spidey (cosmic 60) for melee the build I suggest:
Max:
Spider-Brawl
Spidey-Pummel
Arachnid Assault (this is one of the best powers in the game)
Leaping Assault
Web Spray
Spider-Sense
Spider-DNA-->This is why it's rough, you need this.
Amazing Smash

One point:
Amazing Acrobatics
Stick Around (the passive should work on Web Spray)
Web Swinging (it looks cool)

My rotation is Web Spray-->Leaping Assault-->Amazing Smash-->Arachnid Assault--> Spidey Pummel fill with Spider Brawl then use skills as they come off cooldown. Use Acrobatics to dodge, keep enemies web sprayed. Spider-Man is spirit hungry but it can be managed once you get Amazing Smash.

With that build I wreck everything I run into.

That said if you're having fun ranged then stick with ranged.

Tidbit of info on Black Cat. Not coming in January it seems.

Black Cat - In development, currently undergoing art polish. She has a mix of grappling hook whip-thing and claw powers at her core, a series of traps that utilize some awesome new tech that we'll be retrofitting to other characters (charge counters), and several powers that talk to her "back luck" powers. No ETA on TC, because she's not close enough to give an exact date.

I shall continue :)

I was just levelling her as well and I had the same problems. She felt squishy and I wasn't doing enough damage. Then I hit the power spike and suddenly was just wrecking everything. It makes a huge difference. I might even gear her next.

I'll just level as ranged until I hit level 42 and then see how melee feels. It doesn't feel right having SpiderGwen as a ranged build :)

I had a ton of fun with Captain America as far as melee goes. He can take a serious beating, and he hits pretty hard, especially at later levels.

I'm on to Silver Surfer now. I was having so much fun power leveling that I dropped some money on a five pack of winter wonder boosts. I never buy that kind of thing in games, but combining the boost with some of the others I still have from the fortune cards that came with the first Advance Pack I am getting a character to 60 in less than an hour of play time. Over the holiday weekend I went from one level 60 to now having 12 level 60s. So far my top three contenders for a main are Captain Marvel, Captain America, and Invisible Woman. Sue is an untouchable beast with the right spec.

So realistically how long does it take to unlock 400 fragments to buy a character by playing the game? I get maybe one an hour....so if that keeps at its current pace it would take me 400 hours for ONE character. That doesn't seem fair or good to me. Am I understanding how the game works incorrectly?

You shouldn't be getting one an hour. The current rate is one every ~8 minutes of game time and it is pretty consistent. You should be getting them more often considering the winter boost is still running.

If you are getting one an hour it means you are either killing monsters too ahead or beneath your level (red/grey monsters respectively) which you shouldn't be doing, considering there is also an XP penalty for doing that.

You're supposed to get one every 6-8 mins.

Make sure you're fighting enemies at your level. If you're too high leveled then enemies won't drop splinters.

By the health bar of the enemy will be a small coloured strip, if the strip s grey you won't get any drops.

How is this game compared to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games?

Would it be worth playing if it came to consoles with trophies/achievements?

Was a sliver a health away from finishing the cosmic trial and I get one shot by something.

Is it still a one shot if you only had a sliver of health left? :P

It's much more indepth on the RPG side of things, and heavy on loot. At this point I'd say MH is far superior to the UA/Legends games (and it'll only get better with time). Worth playing.

Yeah the thing about this ultimate alliance games is that they haven't aged particularly well, had kind of spammy gameplay, and also 2 was shit.
