My favorite Gaz moment to date was invincible Captain America. You hit shield block on cool down and literally took zero damage. He could stand and tank everything, including boss charges. It was so broken they ended up completely redoing the ability.
Seems like most heroes have had their moment at the very top. It invariably involves some very basic game mechanic that they don't test with newer characters. The Punisher's only lasted a week, but what a week it was. Moon Knight once ruled supreme. Even Star-Lord (LOL) used to put out very strong damage relative to others.
You're in luck. Takes about 25 minutes per character.

Yea I have all the free team ups and usual picks. I just was wondering if there's someone I should get over Gamora if I wanted a good damage dealer out of those 3. I have way too many heroes on my roster I have yet to touch and don't want to waste time leveling another hero I won't play. But considering her synergy is actually good SG seems worth getting just for that. Jw if there's a reason to get Agent Venom, Drax, or Havok over Gamora in regards to the amount of DPS.
When is this Spidey Nerf happening? I was just about to start leveling him Monday too
I've always heard Dodge was worthless, is it a big deal on heroes like Spidey and Rogue?
Blade definitely isn't overpowered like Iron Fist, he's just disproportionately good in CDR from anywhere else IMO. Doesn't make him the best there, I just think he's very strong.
I am only at 8,300 omegas and do not use psionic overload and actually have 750-1k omegas in defensive nodes.
My uniques are very high roll, as is every artifact 95%+.
I got top 1% in the Danger Room tournament using only Blade.
but I can't say I know why you guys are seeing such different results.

No on the team ups unless you like then visually or for canon purposes. There are a few options that are great for what they bring, but you won't see much difference between those. Wolverine or Coulson are the DPS monsters. Clea or Rescue for defensive boosts. Quicksilver to group up bosses and trash. Deadpool is always good. Etc.
Gearing for dodge is a very effective strategy on Spidey. Dodge in general is a great stat after the defensive review, but only 2-3 characters should actively gear with it in mind. The dodge build in him gains a ton of durability without hindering his damage much at all. I have two sets of gear for him, but vastly prefer the tank setup.
Likely because I suck with him. He just didn't click with me.

Yeah I was doing half the numbers you posted, I regularly saw my brutals tick for 450k with serum on, but not much higher. I'm liking Iron Fist more anyway and it's going well with him, although I wouldn't call him OP.
Rescue is GREAT in DR the only downside is sometimes she just randomly disappears and I don't get her back until next floor, which sucks balls.
I'm not sure under what metric IF isn't OP but ya that team up bug exists across them all in DR. You can see their marker on the map, they are just hanging out failing to tp to you.

Me being bad I guess? idk. I'm not the type to stick to one main and get BiS gear in every slot and reroll gear until it's perfect, though I did bankrupt myself because I bought a Goat mask and I'll be damned if I'm not gonna get a halfway decent roll on it for all those commendations.

So, I'm on a super hero kick after seeing Civil War on Friday and downloaded this. Do I need to buy any of the DLC things? I'd rather not but I saw something about Spider-Gwen in one of them and honestly if I can play exclusively as her I'd do that.
Any tips or anything it would be good to know before jumping right in?

Check out some of the beginner videos in the OP.
You don't need to buy anything in terms of game content. All the stuff you can buy is either convenience items or cosmetics (costumes and team ups). New characters you can acquire just by playing the game, and it is recommended you buy them with the special currency drop: Eternity Splinters.
There's a Civil War themed event right now where you can get either Cap or Iron Man for free, plus a box that has a chance of including a new character or costume. You can go to marverlheroes.com and redeem either of these codes in your Profile section: TEAMCAP or TEAMIRONMAN for the free character, and either of these: TEAMCAPMB or TEAMIRONMANMB for the mystery box with some goodies in it.
I think these should be active until tomorrow, so claim them before it's too late!
And yes, you can play as Spider Gwen, but be advised, she is a costume option for Spider-Man that changes his appearance and voice but retains the same gameplay. It's a pretty cool costume, and totally recommended if you want to spend some $ in the game.
Everything gameplay relevant can be earned in-game and you get two heroes of your choice really quickly. Cosmetics and stash pages are generally what you'll be paying for, however you can also earn these just by playing as well. While you can earn costumes in-game it is a random costume. Considering there are 250+ costumes getting the one you want from this method isn't reliable, it's just a nice extra sometimes.
If you'd like to play as Spider-Gwen you would want Spider-Man as your beginning hero, he is extremely capable in-game. Gwen is a costume for Spider-Man which falls under cosmetic and generally will need to be purchased. It is also an enhanced costume (extra work, all new voice acting) so it is $15 or so.

Thanks a lot guys! I'll go do that as soon as I get everything all set up. Probably going with Spider-Man then, and good to know it has new voice and stuff which would be all I really want since I figure they'd play pretty similar like I assume other Spider-Man's(men?) are like Miles Morales (assuming he's in as a costume)
Also, for the Civil War event is there one you'd advise over the other? Or are they both pretty even as far as how good they are.
There's no gameplay advantage to picking one over the other. That said, Iron Man is a more expensive character, so if you want to fork out some money or splinters in the future to get him it'll cost more. As someone who is just starting in and doesn't have a clear favorite, that will benefit you in the long run I think.
He's also way cooler than Cap, but everyone knows that already ;P
Cap is definitely far stronger than Iron Man currently but Iron Man is fine overall. I would probably recommend the Cap hero code if he interests you and whichever mystery box has stuff for the heroes you like in it. The difference between the boxes is mainly cosmetic goodies. The substantial things they give are the same with one exception.
There is a rare drop team up (AI follower) in each box for Cap/Iron Man but it probably shouldn't sway you one way or the other as you aren't likely to get it off of one box. It's possible though. The team up is one of the main incentives to buy more boxes from the store.
There are plenty of team ups in the game earnable by playing so they are more for people that just really want those ones in particular.
Edit: Oh ya I did forget Iron Man costs more.

Rats, is there a big difference in how either of them would play as opposed to Spider-Man? Like, who would compliment him better as far as who would be better to play. Iron Man is for sure the cooler of the two, but Cap is pretty okay especially if as a character he's a good bit stronger.

While I think Cap is much better, if you already have Spidey then I'd suggest getting Iron Man for a change of pace. Both Cap and Spidey are durable, up close, physical brawlers. Tony gives you a ranged, energy guy.
Iron Man is also more expensive in terms of splinters.
Mods don't know this game exists. They probably think we're discussing how Marvel heroes play out in different video games. "Those folks sure are passionate about them there Marvel heroes..."

Alright sounds good, thanks guys. I'm probably gonna go with Iron Man knowing he's different from Spider-Man which I think will be for the best. But of course when I try to go to the site I keep getting an error 500 so hopefully that gets fixed before the event ends.
So I ended up buying Spider bro and the Gwen costume and I've loved what I've played so far. But I'm trying to play with my Xbone controller cause I'm on a laptop and I keep having issues with button inputs not working occasionally. Like after a little I'll press A to interact with someone and it doesn't do anything. I'm using an Elite controller if anybody knows of anything.

Hopped on for the first time in awhile to see what I got with those codes. I see they added Steam achievements? And now my achievement showcase in order of rarity is just Marvel Heroes. Apparently barely anyone hits max level with any of the characters? Suppose the low percentage on all the achievements is the curse of a free-to-play game.
It runs much better on this computer vs my last one so I might have to work on leveling up some more heroes. I was conveniently working on Captain America apparently when I last logged in months ago. Now that there's around ten heroes I don't have I need to start trying my hand at the random hero boxes again.

It works great. Well, like any other controller does except you have far better mouse control (the controllers use analog sticks to move the mouse in menus) and you can bind extra powers to the grips meaning you aren't limited to one bar.
You can for example use the ini tweaks that add extra actionbar slots and bind the grips to the key you set. The game dynamically switches between controller and m+kb controls so binding them to Q and E or something works fine.
I personally used them for flight and CC break, making room for an extra two powers on the main controller bar.
