that and the reason this particular casting choice works so well is that Sackhoff is one of the few actresses that is totally convincing in an action role while maintaining a underlining vulnerability as well. Not that a strong physique is even necessary for a hero with powers, but far too often the women selected to play these kind of characters are essentially supermodels and going against that trend would be a really refreshing direction.
I will murder you in your sleep.

Making Zoe Saldana out to be an action star was one of the most hilarious movie things I've heard of. The Spill guys laying into her in the Columbiana review was great.
I got burnt out on super hero movies after capt America, and I haven't seen avengers
Danvers should be Katrina Bowden.
Too fresh faced.
Lady Gaga as Dazzler please.

That said, and as much as I think Katee would make a terrific Ms. Marvel, she'd need to hit the gym pretty hard. She has broad shoulders, but that's about it. The character needs some prime Jessica Biel-kind of body to make her justice.

Bug Jessica Biel needs to be She-Hulk anyway.
If it weren't for Green Lantern, Captain America would be the go-to shitty superhero movie.I got burnt out on super hero movies after capt America, and I haven't seen avengers

I'm with you on this. It had a good first half origin and then somehow the actual plot of the movie was a 45 minute quick cut montage of fight scenes and the bad guy being bad.
The montage was maybe 5 minutes...
Someone needs to make a solo female super hero film already.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead would make a great choice for any female lead. Miss marvel in particular.

Well, I can't say I'm familiar with her.
Within the context of the stories, Suzy Sherman is an aspiring model. However, in the course of a few days, she grows inches taller, rapidly acquiring the physique of the average female bodybuilder, and develops superpowers. Suzy discovers that she is a mutant Kree warrior, born Tsu-Zana.[
Waaaaay sweet faced and likeable.
*grooaaaaan*
Everything people wanted to see in a Captain America movie was in those five minutes though. The montage was maybe 5 minutes...
You sir, deserve the highest of high fives. If it weren't for Green Lantern, Captain America would be the go-to shitty superhero movie.
There won't be any Phase 3 movies filming in early 2014.
I still say Thor was worse than Cap, which was on its way to being Marvel Studios' best flick until it fell apart in the second half. That said, Green Lantern did kind of distract everyone from both movies that year.If it weren't for Green Lantern, Captain America would be the go-to shitty superhero movie.

I agree.
That last part is almost PowerRangers bad. Cap I think has some truly stupid portions... but I honestly do love the new outlook on the Cappy A history. Cap punching Hitler tied to a skit than actually happening was funny to me.
Call me a freak but I've seen Cap a few thousands times and the only thing about it I don't love is Zola.
I loved her in Battlestar... but I'm just going to say it. She's not a good actress.
Though pretty much perfect in their respective roles, Hemsworth and Evans are definitely not great actors so much as incredibly good looking, capable and fairly charismatic ones. But then again, does a Marvel film truly need a good actor or actress to convey whatever script they are working with ?

I was never convinced of her tough girl persona in 4 seasons of BSG so I can't see her being able to carry a movie like that.
