I know it’s still early in the year, but I’m calling it now: The most beautifully choreographed fight scenes of 2015 will be on Netflix, courtesy of Marvel’s Daredevil. We’ve seen the first four episodes, and this show is like no other comic book adaption on the small screen yet. The beauty of Netflix is the freedom it allows—Daredevil gets as dark as the source material requires. It’s so dark, it’s almost a better Batman show than Gotham, and that show actually has Batman in it. If nothing else, Daredevil will rule the comic book TV landscape for years to come.

Gotham does not have Batman in it.

And that is really not a high bar to exceed. Gotham is crap.

V was alright but the man doesn't really do short stories . Watchmen was aight but in hindsight could've been 2 movies.

I know. I'm of the belief that the most important run shaping modern Batman was Miller's original Daredevil run. That's where he became the writer that would create Batman. Then he took his growth from writing Batman to make Daredevil's two best stories, the ones I mentioned above, which are probably my favorite comic stories ever (though Hickman's entire saga could take their place once it's done).

Looks solid. Kingpin seems like the strong point based on the trailer alone. Hmm. I wasn't wowed or anything, but I'm hoping it'll tell a lengthy, serialized story with action that's interesting to watch. I realize it's a trailer for a superhero series but I was hoping for more scenes of dialogue, to get a better feel for what it'll be like. Anyway, unless it gets terrible reviews, I intend to check it out.

I am the type of person who can watch an episode of a show a month or two-3 episodes in a day and then won't watch an episode for months. I seriously think I am going to do about 3-4 episodes a day over a week, or maybe 6 hr binge at a time over a weekend. The real question is whether I will watch with my brother.
