No nudity, no strong language. Just good ol' fashioned violence. That's the way Dad did it, that's the way America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Elektra in Man Without Fear was ddaaaaayummmmmmmmmmm. JRJ knows how to draw a sexy lass, for sure

Wow, I were of an entire opposite opinion. I find her very non-attractive.
And I'm glad she's not here for Season 1 but won't mind if she is introduced in a later season.

There's a Daredevil sale on Comixology. Is the "The Devil in Cell-Block D" arc a good jumping-on point? Haven't read much Daredevil

No. It's not a good jumping on point at all because that's Brubaker's first arc when he was taking over from the end of Bendis' run. It's a great arc, but it's a bad place to start since it picks up from a massive cliffhanger.

You should start off with The Man Without Fear by Frank Miller, and then as suggested to me, go read either the Guardian Devil by Kevin Smith or Brian Bendis' run.

you not into sultry Mediterranean women turned ruthless assassins who love to train and fight barefoot and in underwear mate? I was damn turned on by her in MWF and Wolverine EOTS

Has there ever even been nudity in a major Marvel comic? I know DC did it with some of their standalone titles like Watchmen, but I don't think Marvel ever has.

Watchmen is sort of a different bird. You're not gonna see tits out during justice league. I think the most we get in these netflix shows is some Hugh Jackman style butt shots.

He makes a lot of threads and he doesn't think about subject before he makes some of them.
I jumped the gun on the SMTxFE thread, but PM'd Seda to lock it. What doesn't make sense was that I wasn't junior'd until 4 hours later.

Oh well, not much else to do besides continue on as normal.

I don't know why I keep seeing a penis wearing a cape. What is it supposed to look like? Matt in his black costume?
LMAO

It's supposed to be his torso, he's looking downwards and his head is projecting a shadow on his face.

How Daredevil's costume will evolve

For at the least the start of Marvel's upcoming Daredevil Netflix series, Daredevil will be wearing an all-black costume, a choice made early in the show's development.

"We had to come up with a logic for it," said Joe Quesada, Marvel's chief creative officer and a former Daredevil artist. "It was a delicate balance, because the stories we're telling are so real-world. Matt starts out in a homemade outfit that develops slowly. As he starts getting the crap kicked out of him on the streets, he adds padding little by little."

"We couldn't just come out of the box with a guy running around in a red devil costume," said Jeph Loeb, executive producer and Marvel's television head. "We needed to be able to make sure that it looked not like a costume, but a uniform."

Stephanie Maslansky is the show's costume designer.

"There was definitely a history and mythology that needed to be adhered to, but it also had to seem authentic," Maslansky said. "It needed to be made of things that anyone could buy on the street, on the Internet or in an army-navy store. We wanted something that looked militaristic and functional, but also dramatic and sexy. It was really tricky to make it both be practical and look, as Joe Quesada likes to say, 'really bad-ass.'"

Executive producer and showrunner Steven S. DeKnight said that fans will recognize the influence of Frank Miller's Man Without Fear, an early incarnation of Daredevil, in the spare black suit at which they arrived.

"He always wore a black mask that was tied in the back," DeKnight said. "We went through a lot of different versions and did a lot of R&D before settling on something. If you watch very closely, you'll see the outfit evolve subtly into what we call the black ninja suit. The mask changes. He starts wearing protective pads. Eventually it morphs into the classic suit, because he wouldn't be Daredevil without it. Getting there is part of the fun.

"The idea was to back the story up to the point before Matt is Daredevil. Then we could take him to a place where some version of the red suit works in a grounded world. The solution is very exciting and makes complete sense."

Good to hear that we'll eventually see the red costume.

I knew he would eventually be in the red suit, but it's good to hear confirmation all the same. The black is a decent placeholder, but it wouldn't feel right if he was in it the entire time.

He better not only get the red suit in the last episode or right at the very end. I don't want to spend too long looking at the fugly black suit.

I feel like even though it won't change all at once it will start changing fairly quickly. Adding protective pads sounds like something he might think about after his first couple of nights out using the black suit.
