I wonder why the devs put so little focus on this area (in the interview). It seems like such a major feature and definitely something that could win me over.
They probably think most people see this as a bonus, not a system/game selling functionality, and with all the work getting the touch interface good it seems logical to focus on that.I wonder why the devs put so little focus on this area (in the interview). I was being facetious with a hint of sarcasm.Yes, but some developers like Ubisoft have stated their Wii U ports have no performance difference from the PS3/360 versions, so I hope Bioware took advantage of the hardware to fix the terrible framerate.
Still you have to see that doing this would in reality make the innovation of the GamePad screen pointless. The reason for it being there is to add a second screen to the game. Yes, it's great to have the TV-free mode in some games (like multiplatform releases or other traditional genres), but it would make it impossible to create new and innovative dual screen games if it was required that every game must be playable on just the GamePad screen.
The GamePad being able to do this is an innovation.
The reason for it being there isn't to just add a second screen to game, its there for developers to utilize it in anyway they want. Nintendo made that pretty clear.
What? You had a wet dream?I'm now dreaming of Endless Ocean in bed...Mother of God...
That's cool but why would you wanna play ME3 on a small, non-HD screen?
So this function is not useable for games like Zombi-U where the pad is an integral part of the experience, right?
Seems to only be properly applied for (console) ports I guess. Because why have a pad functionality in the first place if you can relegate touch functions to buttons (I'm guessing here) if you switch to "stream mode"?
Well I was thinking of the bedroom but with the romance stuff in ME3 that just sounds creepy :/
Tali not Talia *sheesh*Great for ME fans.
Now they can bed Talia.... while in bed.
Nintendo: "play games on your WiiU gamepad wherever you are in the house*"
*anywhere may only apply if your walls are made of paper
Only good feature of the system. And it's not even mandatory.
