Seems like a scheduling 'delay' to me.

Good news for ME because it means MS are positioning it as the 'double dip' game that everyone comes back for after buying Halo 3 in September.

They announced they'll be releasing Mass Effect in november and it hasn't been delayed. Chris Priestly over at the Mass Effect forums denied this rumor and said they'll soon be announcing the exact date.

So, any mention of a CE/LE for Mass Effect? If yes, any info on what it would contain? This seems a perfect title for paying the extra for greater content. Like Bioshock and Halo, if they offer some interesting content (as opposed to a t-shirt or keychain trinket), I'd be willing to plunk down. I'm sure there's quite a lot of others; total understatement I know.

I would pay +10e for a DVD full of Making of featurettes. Seems perfect for this game, since it's such a big game.

I'm with you, PM. This is a perfect game in need of a Making of. It'd be interesting to see the team talk about the difficulty of overcoming the "uncanny valley" and also the difficulty in making a game with branching elements to the degree that ME appears to have.

Plus, if I'm going to have a "doll" of Big Daddy hanging around the house, how about a Krogan figurine? May as well...

EDIT: To clarify the claim above, 2008 is the new 2007 because there will be more first party games (Microsoft-wise) and fewer delays.

There's a PAL CE at least. According to retailers it includes a dvd with two videos (no details) an art book and a prequel "mini-book" (whatever that is).

I'm always up for a good art book.

Hopefully this releases simultaneously worldwide (oh MGS4...). It'd be nice if we could all speak about the game, without missing a contingent of Gafers for fear of spoilers.

Eh, to tell you the truth, I'd be happy if it was delayed by one or two months- more time to play more games. Halo 3, COD4, Assassin's Creed, Orange Box, and to a lesser extent Bioshock all are demanding to be played by me, and I don't know whether I have the time. The more one month or so short delays, the better. Obviously I don't want many delays, but you get the picture.
