Mass Effect's Villain Revealed - New Screens!

Looks awesome, but I can almost feel the crappy framerate just staring at the screens... I really hope it'll run good in the end.
 
Have we seen a PLAYABLE version yet? Or just demonstrated in "real time"? I've heard some nasty rumours about the validity of some of the "gameplay demostrations" - up to the fact that there was no AI running because it caused too much a slow down (so all actions were scripted).

If the press has gotten their little hands on a playable build, I'd have more faith in the game. That said, I highly doubt that Bioware will release a BAD game, so that allows me to rest easy.

Yeah, I haven't heard any individual impressions other than the mouths of those working at BioWare.

Btw zealots are 205 kg that sounds like BS! Theres enough metal on that mo****a to make 2 cars. MAYBE ITS MADE OF PSI!?!?!?!.....Mass effect looks total rawk... carry on.
 
Wow, this looks better then Gears imo... cant wait to see this puppy on my hdtv.

One of the 360 games that im really looking forward to this year, this and a slew of other 360 games coming out soon. Boy, 360 is really on a roll with some quality upcoming titles.
 
Are there any heroic turian, i.e. party members?

Oh, and remember folks, if you hate the Dominic Purcell inspired bald space marine, you get to change your main character's appearance and even gender, ala KotOR, they're just sticking with that design for marketing the game.

I believe the female will be receiving her entire own script and voice acting as well, which finally breaks Bioware's long line of silent protagonists. Which is totally ****ing rad.

Hopefully it's rad. Voicework for the protagonist often means less lines of dialogue to choose from.
 
Bioware...wtf did I miss out on last gen? *looks at Gamecube* What have you done to me, dammit? I am seriously loving what some of these western devs are doing with popular genres. This game just keeps climbing up my want list, and keeps looking better. Very impressed. :) PEACE.

The Quarians - Galactic Nomads

A nomadic race of humanoid aliens, the quarians are generally shorter and of slighter build than humans. They dress in a scavanged assortment of materials, hiding their faces behind visors, goggles, or breathing masks. Some believe the quarians are cybernetic, a blend of machine and biology that can survive for a time in the cold vacuum of space. Others believe the quarians are simply so used to living on their substandard, makeshift ships that they never remove their survival suits.

Three hundred years ago the quarians created the geth, a species of rudimentary AIs, to serve as an efficient source of manual labor. But the geth rebelled against their quarian masters and drove them into exile. Now the quarians wander the galaxy in a flotilla of salvaged ships, secondhand vessels, and recycled technology. Other species tend to look down on the quarians, seeing them as scavengers and condemning them for unleashing a dangerous synthetic life form on the rest of the galaxy.

Oh no...

I absolutely hate the combat engine of this game, but the story sounds so awesome. I shouldn't look at the story stuff anymore.

Please please please just have a stable framerate. Fixed 20 frames per second is better than inconsistent 30 fps.
 
for the millionth time people, this is NOT an RPG. It is a third-person shooter like Gears. It mearly has RPG elements like leveling up and suchlike.

Yes the combat is in real-time but BioWare makes games about story and character and we don't make first person shooters. Much of the work we are doing to breathe life into our digital actors to make your story as the main character that much more believable and immersive.
