Less worried about if my PC is up to scratch, more worried about Rockstar's optimisation.

Sure hope the second specs listed are not the recommended ones...ouch

Also this.
16GB of ram and 2gb of vram? That's crazy, Max Payne 3 doesn't look THAT good.

Not one good rockstar pc port so far...
Why am i hopeful this will run good when they have such a terrible pc history? GTA IV & all the episodes ran pretty awful regardless of how high end your system was.

I hardly ever look at required specs since I know I don't have to worry about anything..but 35GB lol?

I like to put games on my SSD when possible but not happening here, gonna have to put it on HDD. But 35GB for a MP title?! Cray.

At the time. Installed GTA 4 a few months ago again and it worked fine and looked great. So going by that most PCs should be able to play Max Payne 3 comfortably by about 2014-2015.

Also I'm pretty sure its listing the minimum specs along with the max spec it will support..hence 6 core processor, 16gb RAM, 680/7970 etc. There's no way that's the recommended specs cmon people.

This is not a port, it's developed in parallel with the console versions (and supports DX11 and additional effects, allegedly).

Oh wait, I misread this?

16GB of ram recommended? That'd be insane.

Yeah, that's how I read it as well.

I'm sure there will be clarification soon, this seems weird. There ought to be clear minimum specs and recommended ones too.

They need to release a benchmark or a demo because those specs make no sense.
Iv got a amd QC 4gb and a 5850 should I just get the xbox versh?

Got a feeling this is going to run like shit, I'm going to wait a few weeks and see how it runs before I jump in.

ITT PC gamers complain about the game which pushed hardware to its limits. The game features DX11 with all bells and whistles. Also it was first mentioned in AMD and Nvidia drivers a year ago so "not optimized mess" is out of the window. PC build has also been shown to press and public a while ago.

bleh.

They make perfect sense.

'Supported minimum to maximum."
2-16gb
8600GT - GTX 680 etc

But seriously dunno how it could take 35gb, it will be linear game. Probably we'll get cutscenes with quality from PS3 version.

I had never heard of "max spec". :

All they are doing is listing the minimum hardware needed to work all the way up to the top end stuff on the market.

3930k - 600
16gb RAM - 100 something
680/7970 - 500

If Yall REALLY think 1200 for 3 items is the recommened specs then I don't know what to tell you. I realize this is r* fault for writing it the way they did but where's the common sense in this thread.

Anyone know of the Xbox version will run at 30 or 60 FPS? Just wondering if I should get it on Xbox or take my chances with the PC version
