McDonald's expanding chicken wing test locations to Chicago

They are good. Think about what you would expect wings from McDonalds to taste like. They are better than that. Very crispy, excellent seasoning, tasty. Very, very tasty.

Saw these at my local McD's in Berkeley the other day... the thought of eating fried chicken there is a real turnoff though. I'll stick to the super-cheap mcdouble and lament the recent re-loss of the spicy mcchicken, which they removed from the menu again :/

I just can't believe the outrageous prices on some of the mcdonalds menu items when I know full well the low-level of quality I'll be getting. I don't come to McDonalds to buy a $7.50 meal, if I wanted to pay that much I'd go to In-N-Out! Now, if only we had more In-N-Out locations to make that choice a little more convenient...

here in indonesia, mcd is an actual competitor to kfc, they serve fried chickens here
not just wings, real chicken parts, like thighs, breast, the usual

i generally prefer them to kfc over here

They had that when I was in Taiwan as well. Chicken McTasty I think they called it there. Could get a bucket just like KFC.

You can get Dr Pepper with McDonalds?

Fuck.

This!

Gave these a try yesterday.

Yeah, definitely overpriced (and GREASY), but pretty tasty. The coating was nice and crispy with just enough spice (for my taste) and the meat was very moist. They are way too big to dunk in those tiny sauce containers, which is kinda annoying. I honestly don't see these sticking around, but the novelty of ordering something from McDonald's that contains actual bones is worth experiencing at least once.

Not a huge fan of McDonalds...... but I can get down with this! They better have bones. I like to eat the marrow. :^P

1$ a wing! come on son! this is Mcdonalds!.

Weird. I remember having the Mighty Wings many, many years ago in SoCal. I always assumed it was a regular item everywhere that just didn't take off
hyuk hyuk
.

That said, I remember them not being bad. Pretty crispy from what I remember, with a bit of a black pepper taste, and I usually had them with some tear-away hot sauce packets they had. Wouldn't mind trying these again.

I also think it's worth mentioning that while they are more expensive per wing than other places the wings are also very large. I can put down a dozen wings no problem, but was satisfied by their 3 wing meal. I remember being very surprised at how crispy, how well spiced, and how large the wings were.

Mother fuck! It was the best thing on the menu.

My wife loves those wings. I've never seen her like anything McDonalds until those wings they sell here in Atlanta.

I originally read the title of this thread as "McDonald's exploding chicken wing test" and now I am disappointed.

The wings: they are not the worst wings I've had. They're quite crispy, came hot, but also quite greasy. Kinda flat tasting and salty breading and the spiciness is "chemical" as someone said. It seems like it's a take on Popeye's, but not nearly as good obviously. The wings are smallish, but I found them very filling because of all the grease. I had 5.

And all that grease lead too...

2 hours later: Regret, as my stomach growls for another tums. :( Never again, this is some mean heartburn. Doesn't happen too often, only when I eat truly vile stuff. Not even McDs burgers or Taco Bell get me like the wings did.

Do they fry them in the french fry oil?
