OP You are insane. McDonalds fries make your tongue dance in delight. Pringles taste like dried potato powder.
This is literally the only thing I've ever eaten at Wendy's, ever.

I find McDonalds fries to be the most consisent-quality of "average". Almost every time I get them they are exactly the same. They taste OK and not at all like Pringles, OP needs to see a doctor.
Wendy's and Arbys have the better fries (regular, not talking about curly yet) but only when you actually get them crispy. Wendy's seems especially inconsistent and I often get undercooked fries from them.
Arby's curly fries are awesome, but only on the super-rare occasion they actually cook them properly. 90% of the time you get a wad of barely cooked still-cold slimy "fries". 9% of the time you end up with a trap, where the outer shell of fries are crispy but there is still a center of frozen nastiness lurking within. About 1% of the time they get it right. I no longer order curly fries.
I haven't eaten at Burger King for so long I can't remember what their fries are like.
Steak N Shake fries aren't great. You barely get any and they are so small they are hard to eat while driving.

Well Done In-N-Out fries are the best. Aside from getting either an extra scoop to an extra serving (depends on the cook), sometimes they're so crunchy that they're nearly potato chip-like (again, depends on the cook).
Well Done Animal Style fries are equally amazing because all the fries are crisp - even when broiled under the cheese.

I'm severely lactose intolerant and McDonalds fries absolutely destroy me. There's dairy in them for some reason. I prefer fresh fries which being in Quebec are not tough to find. Poutine is a no-go for obvious reasons as noted earlier.

Burger King now has better fries than McDonald's at least compared the McDonald's I've been to over the last few years where they've been either hard or soft and greasy garbage only thing is it seems like people at BK go overboard with the salt more often, there's also their crinkle cut "Satisfies" but meh. Rally's/Checkers use to have awesome seasoned fries but it's been a long time since I was last at one so no idea how they are now.
As for Pringles tasting like McDonald's fries, yeah... No.
20 Days Later EDIT: So I think I might need to pull my support for Rally's/Checkers fries, I just went to Rally's for the first time in years and holy shit it was awful, especially the fries. Maybe it was just a one time thing but I went out of my way to go there and I won't be doing that again.

Anyway, Rally's fries are the best, but there is no longer a Rally's by me which is sad. Next up, I used to think was McDonald's, but now believe to be Hardee's natural cut fries. They're great.
At the bottom is Burger King, and Wendy's isn't much better. Their fries are thick and soggy.
