And McDonalds in America is the worst in the world, that's a fact. I can't eat at McDonalds in America cause it's so greasy and disgusting.
Oh wow, the lack of McDonald's markings and overall design of the place is strangely compelling. I want to know more about this place.

This always amazes me.
I'm 37 and I've only started using a regular cell phone for about 3 1/2, maybe 4 years now. The reason being I had no credit. I was using a pre-paid ($20 card for about an hour of phone time) until I met my now ex-gf in which we had a plan together. After that, a nice little idea called non-contractual phones appeared and I finally can swing one around.

This is where Mcdonalds in the US anyways gets their beef.
http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/food...re_made_of/your_questions_answered/meats.html

That being said, Mcdonalds in the states varies greatly from location to location. All the of the stores use the same product from one coast to the other, but cleanliness of the grill/ kitchen area along with cooktime and how long they sit under the heatlamps can effect flavor. Another thing that can cause, er dire consequences on the digestive tract is when the fry cooks use the same oil for both fish products as well as chicken/ potato products.

You can go to 2 Mcdonalds in the same city ( DT detroit or suburbs) and get a completely different meal, even though they use the exact same ingredients. Windsor is another example. I had a friend who lived across the bridge and learned that although the McD's near the corner of tecumseh and walker was good, the one just down the street near the corner of, i think jefferson? anways that one was nasty as all hell.

Seriously.. I've been in Japan for 3 years now and damn the difference between the McDonalds here and the ones in Spain (where I'm from) is huge.

^^ This is where I always go (not that I go that much, though... but hey)

Anyway, besides the fact that most McDonalds are better looking than most McDonalds in other countries, the best thing is what they have since recently.. the kazasu coupon. With that coupon you go to the McDonalds website in your phone, make your orders (add them to favorites, etc..) and when you go to a McDonalds you just put your phone on top of an scanner and it reads your order in about 1-2 seconds.

Plus, if you register there you get some really awesome discounts and whatnot! :o

Seriously, is there something similar in any other country?

Mik2121, I went to that same McDonald's quite a bit from 2004 - 2009. Was kind of surprised to see it when I opened this thread!

Oh no the worst burgers in our country are worse than the burgers in Japan. This fact really eats away at us americans when we try to sleep at night. :P

now, this might just be because my friend ordered it at 3am but, the fries weren't cooked properly and the cheese wasn't melting at all.. worst poutine i've ever seen

Yeah Macca's in Japan is ace, had some of the crap off the 100Y menu and tried the Texas Burger, they've got some big American theme going on at the moment.

Cheeseburger was Australian Beef, which is fucking hilarious.

edit: Mos Burger was pretty good too. Some huge mother fucking burger with chips in it... pretty good

McDonalds in Japan is just as terrible as it is in the USA. only benefit of the Japan ones are that the building is much cleaner, and much more attractive people work there.

I've been to a McDonalds in Kyoto. Place was 4 floors. It's fucking crazy.

No shit? Lol, I didn't notice that - was it written in Japanese?

The oil they use for their fries, mmm, so fresh and so clean...

Have you tried the Lotteria chain burgers? I went to their Harajuku store. Awesome stuff.

so has anyone else checked out the "miami burger" at mcdonalds japan? i'm not from the US so am admittedly ill-versed in such matters, but i can't for the life of me work out why it isn't called a "mexican burger".

Yea people act like its something else but it's still shitty fast food burgers, just nicer than elsewhere and has some interesting different menu items. Frankly the regular quarter pounders didn't taste all that different from our own in the US, it was just presented much nicer.

Idaho Burger was fuckin good. Too bad that shit disappeared so quick. Now they are on the Miami burger. I'll try it this weekend maybe.

Had to look up an article to find out what's in it, they seemed to think that Mcdonald's Japan is saying 'All Latinos are the same'. Are all these burgers named after cities? I don't know that I can think of one particular city in America that would evoke "Mexican" to a Japanese person, or if they can differentiate between Mexican cuisine and say, Cuban? Maybe L.A. Burger? San Antonio Burger?

It's surprisingly solid. It could be a bit more authentic with the nachos toppings but it's not bad at all.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the Miami Burger. I plan to have me another sometime in the next couple days. The Texas 2 was also pretty good but I thought the Idaho Burger, while the best sounding on paper, was too heavy and oily, which is rare from a Japanese burger.

But yeah, McDonalds in Japan shits all over McDs in the states. Their campaigns are awesome and actually get me somewhat excited about trying new sandwiches. They never blow me away, but they're usually pretty good and worth the money.

i don't think anyone's saying that standard quarter pounders are any better in japan! for me mcdonalds is a place to eat limited edition burgers, use free ipad wifi and play monster hunter.

I dont think we get much different from the us mcds over here in the uk. Also all the ones i have been too look the same across the country. Best thing in mcdonalds.

What the hell, is that like Popcorn Chicken? How come I've never seen it before? When was this offered in Australia?

EDIT: Oh, it's available right now. >_>

Tell me about it. I don't go there any more for the burgers.

@the miami burger- Why on earth did someone take a shit on that burger?!

honestly, japanese and australian mcdonalds taste exactly the same to me except the japanese menu is alot better. my fast food chains in japan in order:

1. freshness (by a mile).
2. mos.
3. lotteria.
4. wendy's.
5. burger king (miles better than any other country with BK.)
6. mcdonalds.
7. kfc (kfc is probably the only fast food chain that i'd say is worse in japan).

i miss freshness so much.

McRösti is perhaps the greasiest thing I've ever eaten.
I still don't understand why we only got it once in France. Such an awesome taste :/

The thing that amazes me about Japan's Mc Donalds is that theirs burgers actually look like the advertising. They actually put it together well enough for it not to be a misshapen lump like everywhere else.

Freshness Burger is soooooo overpriced, though. teriyaki Burger, FTW.

For Burger King, I only knew of one in Tokyo, which was in Shibuya. I thought KFC was better in Japan than in America. Wendy's I think closed down in Japan. Mos Burger is JUST like Freshness. They are the same kind of burger joint. I never ate at a Lotteria.

I had it last week (the first day it was available) and it was great. I'll probably grab another one tomorrow for lunch.

Hey! Maybe we saw each other!. I used to go there quite a bit too from 2006 - 2008 when I lived in Fukushima (right next to the Umeda Sky Building).
Now I live close to Namba so I never go there :P

Quite a nice McDonalds though, don't u think?

I had the Chipotle Angus yesterday in Florida. Buns and burger were ok, but I've never seen such dry, shitty bacon on a burger before. Not sure if it was normal or I just got a dud.

Had one of those outside of Chicago. The bacon was dry. Don't think it was a dud.

Totally agree with Freshness (we had 2 in Hiroshima a few years ago and now they're BOTH gone), but I think MOS Burger is absolute shit. The burgers taste ok, but you get like 3 french fries with your set and it's just too expensive. Ever try Sasebo Burger in Japan?

So I finally decided to try this thing, right?

Because, Mmm. It looks good. And I've always been a fan of BBQ burgers and shit and McDonald's angus burgers are toward the top of the FF burgers, imo. And their ads are always popping up on GAF, so I went out last week or so ago and picked one up.

Took a bite and sauce poured out of the opposite end of the burger.

Yum.

7jlDCl.jpg

I was trying to fix it.

7PHiFl.jpg

There was a mess of sauce on the top AND bottom of the burger.

1UE98l.jpg

I couldn't get enough of it off.

6JLipl.jpg

The new "bold" sauce that McDonald's seems so proud of was soaked into the buns. It wasn't even that great. It was spicy and overpowered the meat. Wait! There was bacon?!

And they forgot the fucking onion! >:(

Will not go to again. >:(

I LOVE menstrual burgers.

When I tried one of these, the combination of the chili, tortilla chips, and american cheese made me think of a Jack-in-the-Box taco inside of a McDonalds hamburger.

In other words, what dreams taste like.

I've taken to ordering everything (fast food) "plain" because I cannot trust those bastards back in the kitchen to not get their slather on.

I say bastards, but I'd probably do the same thing if I could shoot sauce from a gun.

Never was too fond of Japan's menu (Except Ginger Ale being a drink to choose from). Teriyaki Chicken burgers were just swimming in excess Mayonnaise, although I do remember enjoying the Mega Tomato burger.

Australia has a pretty good menu for value. I love the Angus burgers (Grand and Mighty) - they are just that little cut above the regular fast food stuff offered. But what I usually buy is the $5 cheeseburger meal (Cheeseburger, Fries, Coke, Sundae) for the price alone.

The sundae comes with the meal?! Gotdamn.
