McDonalds is cheap as fuck

Though you are probably just aiming to gain mass in terms of muscle, keep in mind your cardiovascular system will also be bulking up this crap, in case you want to follow a McDonals regime for a longer period of time. I am sure there are better protein rich foods out there that keep your body healthy, if you are focused on fitness regimes.

lol who gives a fuck about cardio? SICK GAINZZZZZZ BREH.

Who the hell bulks up with McDonalds?

Surely this just means that your parents are going to have to buy you a bigger coffin?

This really is not the healthy way to achieve anything positive. There are far better ways to look after yourself, they make take more effort but this is worthless.

A couple of McDoubles one or twice a week while exercising strenuously won't kill the dude, guys lol.

If this was daily thing, the guy had bad blood markers, and was older, he should worry.

You're going to be pissing out a lot of nitrogen and making your kidneys do a lot of hard work. There is no basis for that much protein at once. You ain't storing that shit.
You are storing that shit. It takes a day or more to finish digesting it.

And boneless, skinless chicken goes on sale for $2 a pound on the reg where I live, which would get you about 264g of lean protein for $6. Almost 3 times as much as the McDoubles without the fat, sodium or sugar.

Yeah, it's just meat, not a mountain of candy bars. I've bulked on McD a lot and all is fine.

Digesting all that isn't immediate, it's no problem.

It depends where you are at. When I was bulking at first, I was a fucking stick. I was 6' at around 135 lbs. I was skin and bones. I started to bulk and gained quite a bit of muscle and fat. At my best, I got up to about 165 lbs with only a moderate amount of weight gain. I guess it was the kind of fat gains that make you look more filled out than fat. I ate a ton of McDoubles during that time. But I was in a position where gaining muscle and fat was probably a good thing for me.

The problem is getting off that routine when you've filled out. I kept it going too long and got up to 185, but I could tell going from 165 to 185 did not yield me the same amount of muscle mass growth compared to fat growth. I have no doubt that there are better ways to start from a stick, but eating McDoubles is just too easy.

Muscles and body fat are poor markers for health, really, which is a mistake many people seem to make. People who don't gain mass easily are often less aware of how much crap they eat. Nobody can eat anything they want and maintain a healthy cardiovascular system, though offcourse there are differences in susceptability amongst people. Same goes for skipping cardio, which is what many people who seek to gain mass also do.

Not trying to shit on people's training regimes here, but if people are looking for a healthy lifestyle, these are common misconceptions that may lead to problems down the road.

I agree. But man, lifting weights, playing basketball, and eating McDoubles was great for a while. Felt great to just lift and run hard and just eat junk food whenever I wanted.

Well to be fair he did bulk up!

The funny thing is a dirty bulk can put you on an awful cycle that has you gaining and cutting the same damn muscle due to high bodyfat lol. Two years later and youre not dramatically bigger than you were when you started.

Dirty bulks are like alchemy. Gotta approach that shit with full knowledge of the black arts.

But... that has cheese on it. Why would you willingly eat that? That's the stuff my nightmares are made of.

two quest bars is about $5. but that's too much fiber and you'll have trouble pooping. which is why you should buy a ton of chicken or fish and meal prep.

Protein powder + some oatmeal + a veggie or two will accomplish what you need.

You could buy a package of chicken, a huge tub of oats, and 3 bags of frozen veggies for like $12.

You'll get what you need and feed yourself 3-4 times.

That's barely any calories.

He needs calories if he wants to bulk.

I was bulking on 4000. Those calories need to come from somewhere.

So glad I don't eat this. That picture of a 'burger' looks awful. I bet it tastes the same as well and you'll be feeling sick afterwards

Milk will give you the calories.

I can't handle regular milk without mega cramps and explosive diarrhea.

And the lactose free stuff is pricey.

Are fat people really eating 4000 calories per day? Or do you somehow need more than normal since you're attempting to build muscle?

2 McDoubles for $3 isn't even a deal, they are $1.29 normally (just a year ago they were $1). Unless the price went up again then fuck you McD >:o

Try soy or add peanut/almond butter as mentioned.

The latter. This isn't something anyone made up. People aren't pulling this out of their asses.

These are bodybuilding principles that have been used for decades.

I don't train to build muscle anymore, though. Just general health.

Muscle is expensive metabolic tissue to build and maintain. The body won't generally build excess unless in a consistent calorie surpuls with good training.

Not in Canada... That shits expensive, to the point where I don't know why anyone would go there, since you can get far better food for a similar price.
