ME2 DLC on crazy sale :) x360

This is the first time I've booted up ME2 since launch. WTF is firewalker? Is it shit?

It's a couple of missions that introduce the Hammerhead hovercraft vehicle. They're not bad, mostly because Firewalker is free.

PS3 version at 60 bucks seems really high at this point even though it includes all the DLC, they should make it a $40 title to be competitive.

EDIT: wow, just looked at the high prices on Amazon for used ME 2 CE for 360. $55 on up even though no Cerberus code. :lol

Did that Cerebrus network card have an expiration like that Dragon Age stone prisoner thing did? I bought ME 2 at launch for 360 and never made an account with the card... Didnt know there were free mission packs and shit.

I don't believe it expires. As far as I know, it's just a download code to get the unlock file for the content.

I've been thinking about picking up the Shadow Broker but my backlog has been nagging at me and I felt like I should be playing games I haven't started yet. This is just too good to pass up though. Back into the fire. :D

The Cerebus Network (and especially the Dragon Age free DLC) has been disappointing. They made it seem like they were going to drip lots of free things at us all the time for buying the game new. ME2 has done much better than DA, but I think I'd rather buy used next time if this is the level of content they promise.

I'm trying to hold out for the inevitable game of the year edition with everything on the discs like the ps3 version but at those prices.... When does the sale end?

That's how they can afford to drop the price so much on the base game, especially for the PC version. They're integrating a lot of expensive content via DLC, and can extend the back end profit a great deal.

I'm not bothered by it because the core game is easily worth the price of admission and the side quests don't feel padded out like in the first Mass Effect. Their pricing on the DLC has been ugly, though. If you pay $20 or $30 fucking dollars for their BioWare points, you should be able to get all the DLC they have - or there should at LEAST be bundles of some kind. As of now it's individual items nickel and diming the customer.

It's very poorly set up unless you catch things on sale.

It's a few free levels where you drive around a hover tank either shooting geth, collecting minerals, or some light platforming.

I thought it was pretty fun. Cool that it was free, too.

I doubt it. I got mine ex-rental a few weeks back and the card worked fine. The Cerberus network content isn't great, but it's ok for free.

Sale ends today. Just buy all the DLC and grab a new copy of the game for $20.

Downloading all three now after picking up a used copy of the game at gamestop. Beat it a while back after borrowing it from a friend and the DLC being so cheap made me want a copy.

I forgot how long it can take to download stuff though.

Christ - I've sunk to a new low. I've got a backlog over a hundred games deep and now I'm buying DLC for a game I don't even currently own!

I'll fix that in the next few months hopefully - I'm hoping it'll pop up again for $10 soon.

Bought Kasumi when it first came out and then forgot about the other DLCs. Grabbed the other 2 today for 400 points.

The big problem is that I'm locking myself to 360 more and more every time I pile more things on my Shepard save, which I carried over from ME1. I really want to move to PS3 for ME3 so I can have the game on 1 disc instead of multiple discs but I keep on buying stuff for my 360 versions of ME1/2! :lol

Oh, I have it already, but after being burnt on oblivion's game of the year release after buying the dlc packs I've been wary ever since. It paid off with fallout 3 and dragon age, and although borderlands was kind of crummy in that they gave you a dlc voucher instead of being on the ps3 blue ray disc it was still good. It was a good thing that I sold them for $40 each and managed to get the new releases at a discount. I think this and dead rising are the only multi-platforms that I'll have the complete series on 360 instead of ps3.

I can just see it now... Exactly two days from now Bioware is going to say that the ultimate collection with everything on discs is coming out in February or something... :lol Well, at least it's about $10 for everything.

Ended up buying all three DLC missions. I still have enough left for one Game Room game too!

Wow. And here I have two shrink-wrapped ME 2 CE's sitting at home on my shelf.

for a one day sale it looks really high. but once these go back up to full price it isn't that bad at 60.

A warning for those still debating on if they should get or not....

The new deal has just gone live (Monday Night Combat, 600MP), so this one could end at any time now

In for a grand total of $16-17 bucks right with the Amazon $10 ME2 deal eh. Nice!

Yeah, great fucking deal, I've already finished it once, I borrowed it from a friend, I'll replay and do the cerberus network extra missions, then the DLC :D

grabbed shadow broker, am actually near the end of my first play thru of ME1 and then I'm starting ME2, tempted to grab the other 2 dlcs, but not sure if I really wnt that much ME at once

-Overlord: Good. Heavy-handed, but good. Varied gameplay. Fun.
-Kasumi: Liked this mission a lot. Reminded me of Mission Impossible on the N64.
-Firewalker: trash heap

-Shadow Broker: tomorrow

Cerebus Network looks like it is still 1200 points though, wonder why that isn't on sale as well?
EA sticking it to people who bought the game used, no doubt.

heh, I distinctly thought of the first Mission Impossible movie while playing through it.

Bought all three! I've been meaning to get these anyway and this deal is the perfect time to do it!
:lol But your rich! Why even wait till now?

And yeah, amazing deal. I swooped on all three today as well.

Aw crap, I'm nub and I wasn't paying much attention during Kasumi's mission, I forget now. At the end, in order to get loyalty, do you tell her to
keep the graybox or destroy it?

Except for gamers without internet and complete idiots, the used game market for ME2 should be completely dead.

A new copy is 20 bucks. That's $15 for the cerberus network and $5 for an awesome 2-disc game. :lol

I don't think it matters does it? Provided you've got it. I kept it.

FINALLY, I've been waiting for this sale bought all 3 this morning (600 points cheap as hell compared to their original prices), and after shoveling snow from my driveway a bit more played em all. Just beat all 3.

Shadow broker is def the best of the 3, and actually contains stuff relating to main story line.
/\ would buy at normal price

Overlord feels like throwback to the ME1 type missions where u ride around with mako and get off, execept now you use new vehicle. Story is ok but it is def a "side" quest
/\ maybe would buy at normal price

Kasumi mission is just a recruitment mission and at this point I was playing with a complete game file, maybe if I was starting or half way through game.
/\ wouldn't buy at normal price

I bought Kasumi at full price, on my second playthrough, and recruited her as one of my first and used her a lot in many missions. So I didn't begrudge the price, but yeah 400points would make much more sense.
