Also, for me who doesn't see the appeal of virgins, nor would I ever pay for sex (as it's only hot for me if the person is actually physically attracted to me), this is paying a huge sum for someone who is very bad in the sack :P Therefore the buyer must be even more weird.

more possibilities:
- she's one of those catholic school girls who only did lots of anal&oral with every guy available, but wanted to save up her vcard for the marriage
- as a medical student she or one of her colleagues restored her hymen :P
 
First of all, paying for sex? C'mon son. Secondly, if you absolutely have to pay for it, why pay that much for someone who's going to be terrible at it? You can get a professional who will blow your fucking mind for a fraction of the price. It's just going to be awkward and weird with a virgin.

Personally I think it'd be just as awkward and weird if you're paying a "professional" too.

I've definitely thought about myself in situations like that. I'd be way too conversational out of nervousness beforehand and would probably wind up draining the clock with my senseless anxious babble.

Okay, now I really want a look at her face because there HAS to be a reason she has seemingly never been offered sex from a guy she would be willing to fuck. This scenario just seems too far fetched, and would have been more believable if she said she originally did believe in "waiting" for that special due to religious beliefs that she recently gave up on.

I have to imagine that the combination of the busy life of a med student and the desire not to have a useless and discardable first time would be enough to put her in this position, i sure as hell don't know how my med school friends had any free time in college at all.

Med students are crazy busy, but even the most swamped Med students I know are able to find a little time to party on the weekend, even if its just late on Saturday night when they have to wake up early on Sunday to shadow or study for a board. But who knows, maybe this girl just preferred to get rest during her minimal down time. I would probably do the same.

In my experience the girls I've been with who were virgins/inexperienced older than their teens or early 20s were boring, awkward and slow learners. There's probably a very good (bad) reason someone is still a virgin over the age of, say, 25. And even that's a worrying sign.

All of my best sexual partners have been people that have had lots of experience and from a reasonable age (15/16+).

Anecdotal, of course, but now the idea of someone with no experience is the least appealing thing in the world.

Not being sexually active by the time you enter your 20s is just... weird to me.

I agree with you. Virginity is not very appealing, specially once you are in your 20s, for either gender.
