I'd expect PS3 and Wii to be relatively equal until June (unless MH G catches fire), when Wii Sports Resort should at least temporarily put Wii back on top.
The 360 situation makes zero sense.

Depending on which tracker you are using, in Famitsu the Wii tied PS3 last week and surpassed it this week. Regardless both trackers show the same stable pattern of Wii sales

Wii sales are bad, but it's magnified by the fact that hardware sales in general are down across the board, and also the HD consoles just recently had big game releases. Although PS3 sales haven't dropped and stabilized as fast as expected. The 360 is also doing alot better then it use to do, but it's still nothing to write home about.

So it must be nice to use numbers in the wrong context, the following is MC numbers for Wii for the last 6 weeks

With the exception of this weeks low number of ~12k the trend has been between 18-16k

Its all still shit sales compared to where Wii used to be at and then put into proper context by comparing it with Famitsu which has the Wii also at a stable 16-20k over the same period, you get a stable situation in Japan.
Yeah over two weeks, its not like MC has been trending down super fast over the last month. I would be more alarmed if there was not such a great disparity between the two trackers overall (If there really was a shifting or a downfall on the Wii how are we completely missing it on Famitsu)

Blue Dragon hasn't sold one additional copy (as reported by Famitsu) since December 2007. Star Ocean 4 released in February. Those numbers are through March 29. Star Ocean 4 is already past Blue Dragon in Famitsu, by this point.

Personally, I've seen the Wii as Xbox 1.1, since before its release, so I interpret this as more the 1st option (DSi transition is more substantial) than the 2nd (Wii transition is less substantial). It just could have meaning either way depending on your lean. There's also the fact that those percentage increases of CPU/RAM make a much larger difference on older hardware than on newer tech, by my understanding.

I don't have the DSi spec changes memorized, but I think you're being too kind to Wii in this. The processors in Wii are 50% faster rather than 100%. And Wii's RAM is only almost 4 times as much as GameCube if we completely ignore the slower 16 MB of A-RAM.donny2112 said:
