Switch sales are rather meaningless without additional information regarding its stock situation. If retailers are selling everything they got then that's a hard ceiling that isn't telling us much about the health of the platform until the stock situation gets resolved.

Good hold for PS4, Nier, and Horizon. Surprised at Ghost Recon. And to some extent at Kingdom Hearts because how many times are we going to rebuy those games?

The fact that Nintendo are running adverts in Japan for a Splatoon demo makes me pretty curious whether there's going to be a mild bump/sustain the week after this one.

You haven't been checking MC thread for years then.
Western games have been selling well for a long time now, CoD and BF games have been selling in the 300-500k range for a while, something most JRPG will never reach anymore, compilation sell only a fractional amount of what the original games used to sell, and if said compilation is a compilation of compilation released two-three years ago it will sell even worse
For what it was KH 1.5+2.5 had pretty good numbers though.

The Switch likely would have sold better this week if they had units to actually sell.

Western shooters and even games in general have been very consistent mid range sellers in Japan this gen. In between 100-300k on PS4 depending the franchise. It isn't really a new development at this point.

It was virtually sold out in its first week and from every single report there is no stock. For example, major retailers this weekend conducted a lottery for the shipment that did come in!

Yes there were reports of small new shipments especially in the bigger metropolitan areas. Most were sold via raffle at stores. We just weren't sure what size the shipment was until now.

Unfortunately no. From previous thread, report from many retailers shows that they can't even guarantees to those who PO'd the system when will it come.

There's repeating stock outage from various outlets.

Yes it was sold out in its first week as reported by the trackers.

But the trackers have not reported a sell through percentage this week so no one can say it's a fact Switch sold through all stock.

Is it likely? Yes.

Is ethomaz likely wrong? Yes.

Is it a fact? No

It's very simple.
