Why? Its just for fun. Well made fake leaks are at the very least impressive and a fun distraction from all the regular PR news we get on a daily basis.
People really need to not get angry when they've been tricked. especially by something dumb and fun online.

I really would love to see another one of these games though. Medievil was just such a fun little series. You don't see too many games like these today. I would love to see it make a comeback. Would freshen up the PS4 library for sure. They need more games that appeal to all ages.
Fools? No. Its very hard to justify pumping next gen budgets into old IP gambles. Twisted Metal didnt pretty bad on PS3, and that was probably their most sure-fire guaranteed "old" IP. Didnt help though the netcode was f'd from Day 1.

Yeah, 29 pages for a long dormant franchise isn't bad, not to mention it's the second "hottest" story on N4G.
Yeah but my point is people have been asking Sony for new entries in old IP's for years. By now they would have to know there is interest, the argument of whether or not they should listen and whether money should be pumped into said IP's is a different thing altogether.

Unfortunate that this turned out to be fake, but it's a very cool fan thingy. As others have said, at the very least it might make Sony start reconsidering whether or not they might try to revive some of these classic IPs. I liked the idea I saw about bringing in third party studios to develop smaller, downloadable games to revive MediEvil and others. I say SCE would be wise to take note of that, if they haven't already.

I said it before but I think we should have a separate poll to gauge interest in how many people would either buy a new game or not. I know I would and would be interested to see how things split on GAF.
