Mega Man 7 is available on Wii U VC NOW

The main reason I don't get these games on VC is because I still have my PS2 Mega Man collections. It would be a good idea of Nintendo allowed competitively-priced bundles of VC games (like Steam has franchise bundles). I could totally see a Mario bundle, Zelda bundle, Mega Man bundle, and a Final Fantasy bundle. How much would you guys pay for a Mega Man X 1-3 bundle on VC or a Mega Man 1-7 bundle?

Edit: Same goes for Sony's PSN classics.

What's wrong with it? I remember it being pretty smooth on ps2

The emulation is fine. I just finished beating MM 1-8 on the Anniversary Collection and absolutely loved it. They removed the MM7 ending credits walk cycle because they couldn't emulate the Mode 7 graphics used for it, but the game itself plays great.

Between the classic (1-8) and X (1-6) Anniversary Collections, I bought 14 MM games for $25 total. It's an incredible option if you have access to a PS2 or Gamecube.

It should be noted that Mega Man Anniversary Collection doesn't support 240p so it looks like ass on a CRT. And as previously mentioned it has several emulation problems, notably having removed an entire section of the MM7 ending because they couldn't be bothered to emulate Mode 7, despite it being already supported by grey area PC emulators for a while now at this point in time. And the PS1 emulation in MM8 has really bad sound issues.

Mega Man X Collection thankfully supports 240p during gameplay, although the emulation is also less than perfect (SNES audio is really half-assed).

Is it the version where Mega Man has a potty mouth?

I think Bass has the potty mouth. Mega Man just goes rogue.

Screencap taken from my hard-fought victory last night and now I'm reading about MM7 and see that coincidentally it turns 20 years old tomorrow. Released 3/24/1995 in Japan.

Happy birthday you old building & loan!

I mean... it's not like Wii U VC supports 240p either :-/

You replied an entire year later. Bravo.

I read the anniversary collection also fails to re-create a lot of the cinematic credits sequence due to its inability to emulate Mode 7? Sucks, but I still think the collection is worth a few bucks.

Capcom was never a building and loan as far as I know. I was just feeling very George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life. Merry Christmas! Happy birthday! They're similar...

I only bumped like 6 months later sheesh. Also I would prefer if there were a single OT / LTTP for games instead of people always making new ones, so I used this as such. Otherwise you just end up with having opinions spread over a number of threads and it's difficult to get a comprehensive picture of the GAF hivemind.

Are they on the Wii U VC as well?
MM8 is a ps1 game. Rockman & forte in japan only for the super famicom and there's a GBA port that made it stateside. Don't think it's on vc though

7 is ok. It's a good game, but it's not top tier Megaman but it's still a fun game.
