Lol, I enjoy a good group shitpost.

Sad little spoilt bitches can't accept their game of choice didn't win the awards. Jealousy from these pampered clowns is why you have to think twice before admitting you play games.

Anyway, good luck in their "movement", it will change so many lives forever, absolutely. Now ask them to put this effort into wearing body spray or clean underwear.

And yes, Metacritic has been horseshit for years (if it ever was good), just look at what counts as a journalist and see their biased review scores. 2 recent games being Harry Potter being reviewed like a 1/10 or Dragon Age getting a 10/10 because of people's agenda pushing mattering more than the game review.

You have to admire the dedication. Wasting hours bumping a 2008 DS shovelware to own the French RPG crowd.

For such a niche game that was released before any of these sites existed and whose maker disappeared decades ago it pleasantly surprised me. I could understand Starcraft, but HoMM3? Bewildered.
All thanks to the community, probably. They are still going strong making new factions and content. Legendary game really.

Good for them. Besides, Metacritic user scores have always been worthless for this reason so what does it hurt?

JRPG fans 1 year ago: "wow this upcoming Clair Obscur game looks amazing! A turn based JRPG with great production values, this is what Final Fantasy 16 should've been! Why, just imagine, maybe this game will be a big hit and prove there's a market for turn based JRPGs!"

JRPG fans today: "I can't believe E33 is getting so much critical and commercial success. Must be a bunch of normie dudebros who never played the true JAPANESE classics like Xenogears and Paper Mario. We need to take it down a notch for the honor of Japan!"

It's stupid, but if nothing else, it exposes how easily user scores can be manipulated on that website. Whether it be review botting or bombing.

Critics scores are always wonky, but with the way social media has turned into tribal culture warfare with entertainment and politics, I'd sooner trust their opinion than 'users' in 2026.

They should hide decimals anyway, it's dumb to rate out of 100 as it's just gonna be inconsistent as hell, further diluted and unfair by the vastly different amounts of reviews. For critics too, not just users, that one's even more bullshit as they're by different media, dead magazines, new slopsites, etc.

What would dropping decimals fix?
Everything I said is wrong with it. Threads like this wouldn't exist, games would just be 9/10 or 10/10 and fanboys and trolls wouldn't latch on some decimal like it means one is trash and the other the greatest game ever or whatever.

Plus review bombings etc. would need to be way bigger to change a full grade (well unless it was on the cusp of rounding up vs down) and even if they managed to knock it down it would still be among other cool, epic games so 🤷‍♂️

Killing all humans solves this problem and so many others.
Yeah but who you gonna trust to do it - another stupid human? That's why we are committed so much to AI and the race to get skynet up and running ahead of schedule.
