"Metal Gear Collection 2014" That Kojima is so hot right now

If this is another collection but for PC, Metal Gear gets the official "Star Wars Episode IV-VI another rerelease, pls hand out your money again" -seal.

realtalk: if kojima released mgs styled chocolates that were actually made the same year mgs1 came out to commemorate the series, i'd still eat them

Hey, there were NES Metal Gear games (not...exactly good), Twin Snakes was on GC, MGS3 was on 3DS, and Snake was in Brawl. So, never give up hope! #believe
 
Can't help but notice the last two collections, 'Metal Gear Solid HD Collection' and 'Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection', both had "Solid" in the name and this one apparently doesn't. I think this can only point to one thing...

Or this includes MG1+2 and Rising.

Imagine, remastered Metal Gear 1, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 1234+PW, Metal Gear Rising, all running in 1080p 60fps, re-remastered for Next-Gen/PC.

Which leaves open the possibility of finally getting a higher resolution version of Portable Ops, or Ac!d 1&2, all 3 of which I LOVE.

Maybe it'll include the NES games and Ghost Babel too! Boy I sure can dream!


With the MSX games, I don't know if it's true of the PS3/360 one. But the PS2 ports, they didn't run at 60FPS, So the movement wasn't as smooth as the original MSX versions. (At least with Metal Gear 1 anyway. MG2 AFIremember had a little stiffer animation). On a CRT over Component/RGB it's not so bad.


Does anyone remember how they run on the PS3/360? I have it on disc, but I guess i'm too lazy to go try lol.



If anything and these are new ports or updated ports. I hope they fix the bugs/glitches issues with MGS2&3 that didn't exist originally.

As well I hope they fix the audio port/emulation for MGS2. Since it used sequenced music it used the SPU2's Reverb. Which they didn't recreate very well in the HD Collection. Or more like not at all. I was dumbfounded at first. I thought the music sounded off. Upon switching between the original PS2 version and the Xbox 1 version and the PS3 HD version. The reverb is missing entirely.

I mean Metal Gear Collection 2014... the 2014 part here is pretty much telling. Also the background doesnt looks like one to announce games...

Still hoping for a MGS1 to 4 collection for PC.:')
 
Worth noting that they always have some little gift for people attending their booth at TGS, since lines were LONG. I got some nice gadgets back in the day. Chocolate might be this year's gadget.
 
This is awesome.

I wanted to get the Legacy Collection but didnt get the chance and now its way more higher priced than what it was when it came out (excluding the artbook etc due to "Second Print").

If this is for PC - it would make it even better - if not I'll still get it depending on what system it is for ;o.
 
I would pay a pretty penny for the MGS series on PS4.

Come to think of it, I already paid a pretty penny for the MGS series on PS3. And I never got around to playing it. Maybe I can skip this. Except for MGS4 in HD. That'd be ace.

Same goes for PC. Bring that shit on!

I was about to buy the Legacy Collection for the 2 Animated Comics and MGS:Special Missions
 
I think MGS4 will stay forever a PS3 exclusive (or at least PlayStation exclusive) due to the many elements of the game having playstation related stuff top them: Metal Gear Mark II & III using the Cell processor and the sixaxis controller is the only way to control it, Sunny playing with a PSP , Otacon talking about Bluray on the PS3 and disk swap on the PS1 and many other stuff like that.

Don't the earlier MGS games have a bunch of PlayStation references in them also that were left intact for the re-releases? I don't think anybody genuinely cares about such inconsistencies.
 
So hyped for a PC collection!!!

But how many people would they need in order to work on TPP, Silent Hills and this collection simultaneously??
