Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence Limited Edition = $39.99

Yeah, I already gave up and ordered it anyway. I'm already regretting choosing the EB Saver shipping. That week of waiting is going to be torture.

I order from ebgames all the time, your average time is about 5-7 days east coast, west coast you're looking at a few more. I live literally a state over from where it ships, and it still usually takes a solid week :lol
 
Well, I'm going by past orders. Plus I do live on the east coast. It's usually about a week.
 
Final LE box art cover? I dont really like it, seems too cheap by changing the color

I wonder if the PAL boxart will be better... has there actually been a PAL date announced for this yet?
 
emailed Gamestop and they assured me that my order would still be eligible for the preorder disc even though i preordered like amonth ago. Didn't tell me when to expect the disc though, so i would bet its all coming together in March.
 
Oh wait, isn't the 3rd disc supposed to come in another DVD case? That would make the boxart for the LE just a cardboard holder, the Subsistence DVD should look the same as the regular version (I hope).

no the 4th disc (the MGS Saga documentary) comes in its own case.
 
he's probably right. the 3 discs(in separate cases) will probably be joined together in a slipcase, ala dvd boxsets. the saga disc will be separate. so hopefully the LE gets both the green and the red.

I mean the 3rd disc with the MGS3 cutscenes in one long 3+h movie. If the package is anything like the Japanese one, this red boxart is just a cardboard holder housing the first two discs (1) MGS3 game, 2) Online mode disc) in on DVD case and the 3rd disc in another (along with the MGS Saga disc, 4th DVD separate from the rest of the package).

Oddly enough I ordered EB Super Saver and got mine in 2 days. And I am not just a EB corporate sent to appease GAF honest.

Haha, I was just about to post these pictures when I came here (they are mine). The box art on the DVD cases for the Japanese version were decent.

The Existence one is pretty plain though. The manual is AWESOME, however. :D
 
I guess EBgames.com got too many emails or something because they just revised their preorder bonus offer to say that Saga will ship with the game:

Well that's good, that would pretty much guarentee anyone who preordered with them will get it.
 
So whats the consenus for Subsistence here at GAF. Did you order;

Subsistence (2 disk + promo) $29.99

or

Subsistence (3 disk + promo) $39.99

Headsets were $20 at Best Buy the last time I saw them, regular price. I don't like the Sony headset though, I've got a large dome, and it's really rigid.

I did. When i made the preorder they said they weren't sure weather or noth they were going to get the Saga DVD, but since then they've made the announcement so i'd say it's all good.

I'm a bit confused. I wont be able to pre-order anything so Im just going tho have to buy MGS3: Subsistance when it is released. I might be able to get the limited edition if it does come out here but thats unlikely. Can someone just explain to me what the differences are between LE and the normal package?

LE has the 3rd disc (existence - MGS3 in movie form). Regular edition does not



Apparantly some Gamestop worker on IGN noticed a MGSaga entry in the computers and has it coming in on Feb 27th. Mid-Feb. my ass if it's true

In the Kojima report they said they don't know any specific date it'll be in stores because it is a pre order item. But they said they should start arriving in stores anytime now.

Hopefully that means B&M stores will be getting enough to cover every preorder.

I can confirm that Canadian EB's do have the Limited Edition sku in their computer, they may have to look for it "manually" though.

Excellent news, thanks. Did they happen to mention if you get the bonus when they actually get it, or when you pick up yhe full game?

Last time EB stiffed me out of the bonus.
