That's stretching it..Wario64 said:
There's likely too much video on this "comic book" to be viable for a memory stick download. You have to see the trailer for this to understand what I'm talking about. This is not a comic book in traditional sense with static art, but instead looks more like a set of video sequences or something like that.A_Lee_N said:Maybe it would have been smarter to launch this alongside Sony's upcoming e-Distribution service. I can't see this graphic novel making use of the 1.8 GB that a UMD has to offer anyway, so it would make a whole lot more sense just to be able to download it and keep it on your memorystick.
That way you won't have to swap UMDs too often.
It's almost like 2 different artstyles.
I have seen the trailer, and it's all overlayed static images moving around on the screen with the occasional few-framed animation.Marconelly said:There's likely too much video on this "comic book" to be viable for a memory stick download. You probably have a point there as they also mentioned you will be able to pan and zoom into layers of those panels and find some hidden stuff. So I guess for that it would have to be realtime manipulated. I guess nothing would be stopping them to release this as a download then, if they can restrict it to work only on your PSP, like they are doing with cellphone games.A_Lee_N said:It would not make an ounce of sense to compress that into a video since it would take up more space and give you worse quality. Moving around images like that is better done in realtime.
