Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Uniqlo Shirts...

The line is about 30-40 deep right now. Good luck to everyone who's going. I really want those shirts... stupid work...

Really wish I could have gone... damn living in the midwest!

I managed to get three shirts yesterday ( militaires sans frontières, COOP, and guys with boxes on head) but the store had been stormed just after the opening by rabid fans. The store clerks were astonished by the huge number of people buying those shirts...

Kojima will make an appearance on the 17th june in Uniqlo Opéra in Paris to sign some stuff, but i'm afraid it will be war to enter the store that day. He's also the guest of honor of Japan Expo ( big anime/comics /game convention in Paris) so i'll have another chance to see him in person.

I'd like to get the red shirt with big boss head on... I'll try to visit the store again early in the morning.

Added : If you visit Paris, there is an exposition of metal gear artworks in the FNAC stores, and they sell art prints signed by Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa ( I saw it in 'les halles' don't know if other stores have the artwork too )

I sent an e-mail to the online orders people even though the shirts are not listed on the site yet. Hopefully they accept the order since I provided images and descriptions.

Edit:

E-mail back from them. They only come S-XL (no XXL). They're already sold out of XL in everything (as of 4 hours ago). Oh well.

Picked up the Che, Dog Tag, and green Snake shirts today in Korea, going to check back next weekend and look around for the Peacesign shirt and maybe one other. I love the feel of the Uniqlo shirts.

I have no idea what size to buy from the UK store.. after checking my measurements on their website it says I'm L but I usually wear M size t-shirts.

Are the UK ones Japanese sizes too?

Not sure about UK versus Japanese sizes. But medium should fit fine. I'm 6'2" and the one I got fits perfectly.

No, they're UK sizes, which I'm a bit gutted about, could've got away with an S probably :s

bought the cardboard boxes on heads and 'militaires sans frontiers' one the other day at the local store, very nice shirts.

Uniqlo sizes are weird. I usually take a medium but when I bought mediums at the London uniqlo peace walker event they were a bit baggy. When I was home and checked, my other Uniqlo shirt is a Small but fits like it was a Medium.

I might be going to NYC this weekend, does anyone know if Uniqlo have them in-stock? What about other licenced shirts?
I was there a few weeks ago, I think I got the 2nd-to-last MSF shirt, they still had plenty of some of the other shirts. They were on sale for ~$7.90. They have a ton of Mickey Mouse and anime shirts, along the left wall of the ground floor as you walk in. A few more upstairs too, IIRC.

Quick question to Japan-GAF,

I'm heading on my annual Tokyo-trip in about two weeks. Are these shirts still widely available across Tokyo or do I have to hit certain stores?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the heads up! Was planing on buying two of these a couple of weeks ago just didn't get round to it.

Now if only their site would load.

Hey guys just bumping to let you know that the new Spring 2012 shirts are showing up, and I have them up on kidsamurai.. starting with ONE PIECE.. Since so many people were interested in the site I hope nobody minds this bumpage

I'm sure there will be some Metal Gear Rising shirts this spring, so that should be awesome :)

EDIT: I decided to offer a discount to all gafers, use coupon code GAF2012 for a 10% discount on One Piece shirts :)

I thought the Raiden armor back thing looked cool until I saw the quote on the front

Eh, wouldn't wear any of these.

This one is unintentionally suggestive if you know nothing about MGS:
SOLID
LIQUID
SOLIDUS
NAKED
OLD
It could very well be about naked old men rolling around in their own solid and liquid waste.

*shrugs*

Got four coming my way and will order a few more. Picked up: Solid in sepia, Raiden shirt in gray, Snake/Meryl shirt & Snakes shirts in black.

Still need the MGS2, MGS3 (Eva) and whatever else. Not sure if I'll pick up the boxhead one as I have them already from the MGS4 release. But please skinnypupp, shipping is killing me due to not being fixed for the airmail option.

Same. I expected some better looking designs.

Have you guys seen the boxhead one though? It's from the MGS4 shirt release.. I had the original white one, and I have never gotten more comments on a t-shirt before.. and these are from people who had no idea it was a gaming shirt!

This series has a red one which comes out in a few weeks AND a reverse black one which is double rad

When exactly are these coming out? Do you know if there will be other new designs as well?

Apparently the new ones are hitting the UK Uniqlo store on the 12th of May. My only issue is trying to keep myself to buying 2 or 3, and not the majority of them :p

Hmm it looks like these ones are in the Ginza store only, so maybe they won't come out :(

I agree on the designs, they aren't as artistic as the MGS4 designs. They are just "video game t-shirts" only for the hardest of hardcore fans.
