I've been playing this for about 2-3 hours now and the biggest dislike I have so far is that Big Boss doesn't react to anything in the game. He barely speaks, even when directly asked a question...I mean he won't even nod his head. For instance if you remember that gameplay reveal video of afghan, that's near the start of the game and Ocelot asks a question about his arm "Getting used to it?" To which Big Boss says nothing, he doesn't even nod his head or grunts to hint something like "whatever". That kind of muteness and non reaction is absolutely immersion breaking for me in games because humans don't react like that !
Especially jarring because this is the third game with Big Boss and we've seen him in other games and he is never like this. I don't want him to go on babbling all the time and make grunt noises and repeat words ("Metal Gear?") like in previous games, but I would want to atleast see him behave like a person. Perhaps he is saving his energy for that long ass speech at the end of MGS4
Also this is not really an issue but a pet peeve. Granted this is Metal Gear so the tech is never completely realistic, I've still found that the iDroid is too sci-fi/futuristic looking (it was there in Ground Zeroes in 1975 !) with its holographic projection, document scanning and all. In MGS3 they made an effort to atleast make the game seem like it's set in the 60s (wired radio, microfilm etc) but after MGS: Peace Walker I doubt anyone or even Kojima cares about appropriate level of technology in timeline. lol
