How can you say this looks UGLY.

And it was made with OG Switch in mind.

You can easily see the polygons in the hand and low res textures. Looks like the Switch 1 really held the Switch 2 version back.

There's definitely something going on with the character models in general. I remember seeing something similar on Sylux in the previous trailer.

I know 4 million is a low bar for Nintendo games, but I hope MP4 can break it for selfish reasons (so they won't abandon the series again).

1 million per a Prime seems reasonable, right?

What gives with the Temu light cycle? She can already transform into a cannon ball. …I hope it's funner than it looks.

It's the same game game with either better textures at 4k or just the same game at 120fps. Also allows you to play with mouse mode on NS2. That's about it.

They had to make an open zone for Switch 1 that runs at 60fps since Metroid Prime is a 60fps series. And that's what they had to work with for the Switch 2 version. That's why motocyle segment looks rough.

I really hope the game delivers and I'm open about the open part despite looking straight out of another, lesser, game. I have faith in Retro and it seems they are either keeping a lot under they sleeve or the game is a really weird dud. But, as I said, I trust them. It would be outrageous if Nintendo released a dissapointing game after restarting its development over quality issues.

It's a suit.

Look at the sharp rounded edges on the hand is what they mean. if it was just a switch 2 game it probably would look better. But the game was announced "first iteration" in some form in 2017 so it was always going to be based on switch 1 performance. It doesn't really matter to me, as long as it runs smoothly l'm good.

I was so hyped for this game 2 years ago. Now it's just down to meh. Too many other good games to play to shoehorn this in, just because it's Metroid. It hurts to say that, but Nintendo is dead to me now. See y'all on the flipitty.

So Nintendo cancels other iterations of Metroid but they thought the bike was a good idea? She already can turn into a ball why didn't they just use that.

You can't shoot in morphball and traveling long distance in that mode is not a good idea.

It's still a compressed YT screenshot. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
Oh, I'm definitely not. That's just how it looks, I'm not sure why close-ups of the character models get that way.

Almost looks like the same thing that happens close-up in Mario Kart World:

Shit I forgot this was so soon. Time flies.

Still really hope they have some aces up their sleeves and this is a homerun. I love this series and just want a great new entry no matter how I feel about it now. Please pull a Silent Hill 2 Remake 🙏🛐

New arrival this morning ! I really didn't pay attention to the release date I thought these would come in Dec lol

Is there a reason to not play this in the 120 fps mode while in portable mode?
It has the same drawback as in docked mode (lower res). But I guess the resolution dip might not be as noticeable on the smaller screen.

Docked: 4K 60 fps HDR
Docked: 1080p 120 fps HDR

Handheld: 1080p 60 fps HDR
Handheld: 720p 120 fps HDR

I don't know why I thought portable mode was 60FPS 1080p HDR and 120FPS 1080p no HDR. 720p makes much more sense. Thanks

I'm probably gonna wait for the next zelda to buy a sw2 so i'm probably gonna wait to play this one until then.

It already look pretty shitty graphic wise so i can't even imagine how bad it's look on sw1 :lollipop_grinning_sweat:
As I'll wait for the next Zelda, Mario and possibly Animal Crossing and the revised version before getting a Sw2, I'm probably picking this up for my Sw1. It's going to be a nice swansong for it.

can the switch output at 120FPS to tv? didn't Nintendo change it or something?
