really, because metroid prime is literally metroid prime because of metroid prime. like, metroid prime itself is a tallon IV metroid all jacked up on phazon; thats what the game is about. in subsequent metroid primes, it always makes an appearance as dark samus, and its just a big part of the whole thing
if metroid prime doesnt exist in metroid prime: federation force, i feel like thats proof that nintendo has fully lost touch. from the outside (my perspective), it just looks like nintendo is jumping on the bandwagon of piggybacking on the name of a treasured IP to sell copies, whether or not it alienates dedicated fans of the iconic series
im holding out hope because nintendo waited to bring down the hammer on AM2R and pokemon uranium until they were released to the internet and officially unstoppable (when they could have killed them whenever they wanted), but ugh, "running on fumes" cant be a more accurate way of describing how i feel about nintendos status right now
