MGS4 Preorder Bonus (MGS: Saga) appearing in Gamestop

guys, the most you should ever call asking if something's in is twice per day, really. Either to make sure (if you asked them if they have something, and didn't ask them to hold it), or if its something like the Wii during the holiday season. Outside of that, don't be a jackass.
 
I've only called once each day. Around 1 or 2pm. After they would have gotten any shipments.

I don't like being a pain. I just really don't want to miss out. I collect just about any and everything metal gear related. I got very lucky and barely snagged a LE of MGS3: Subsistence. They only had one copy when I showed up. Although they had more preorders than just mine.

Truth be told, I'd rather people call about MGS everyday than Wiis -_-
 
If I remember on Monday when I get back to the office, then I will check and try checking daily. Saves you all on calling and the stores from wanting to kill you.

You need to relax. It has been noted that stores will get the discs next week; the 3rd or 4th of April.

Lake Forest store also has them and, unlike Oceanside, you can walk right in and drop down 5 bucks and walk away with Saga 2. I did that late Friday night on the way home from work.

Sunday afternoon and i also just walked into the Lake Forest GameCrazy and they still have them available for walkup. I've a preorder at Gamestop but Lake Forest GameCrazy is about 1/2 mile away and just went there instead.
 
Well I tried my nearest EBgames where I preordered my LE version in the Briarwood mall in Ann Arbor, MI and they didn't have it yet but said they'd give me a call once they arrived.

I also tried 2 GameStop stores out in Monroe too given if the off chance they did have it then I'd slap $5 down for the disc and send it to my buddy in Canada but likewise they had nothing.

hmm

thinking about pre-ordering online as well just in case. problem is i don't know if they'll send out the saga dvd for LE orders since it's not listed on their site.

Well that's good. At least it sounds organized. Half the time I miss out on any bonus items, because all the employees take multiples home. I hate that shit soooo much.
 
I find it cool you can use the Edge card online now.

So basically you can't get the saga dvd if you preorder the LE version?
 
Kagari or any other employee: Can I change my pre-order from regular to LE over the phone if I already have enough money on it to cover the extra "fee"?

You get the artbook and DVD with the LE. Well, you should unless you get a bad employee.

You must do it in store. If an employee does it over the phone, they can get in trouble. Essentially, there's a slip you're supposed to sign to show that you came in and cancelled the original reserve.

Unfortunately no. You have to sign a slip for canceling any reserve.

Pre-order bonuses are usually distributed in order of reserves taken; the idea being that people who reserved first call 'dibs'. By moving your reserve off, you're kind of moving to the end of the line. It seems that they're planning on having more than enough DVDs for everyone, though.

That's the thing. I went to GS today and the two workers weren't even aware the saga DVD existed and told me they usually get that stuff when the actual product arrives.

They are cool guys though, they usually give me tons of free stuff. Like today. Gave me a bag and told me to just take any preorder items I want. :D

So, I might as well go in and pre-order tomorrow correct? Should get a voicemail when they have in then if I'm reading the above correctly.

That's not exactly fair to those of us who waited to reserve the LE. They only just made it available.

Most stores run like this, but usually on an item which will be limited, there will be a line in an email that reads something like: "The OH MY GOD I BOUGHT THE GAME THAT I DO NOTHING BUT COMPLAIN ENDLESSLY ABOUT EVERY YEAR Madden Anthology DVD can't be guaranteed for reserves taken after xx/xx/xx. Please do not promise this item to reserve customers after this date." (I don't recall seeing a callout like this for the MGS dvd, but that doesn't mean one isn't out there.)
 
So i want the saga disc for the beta and i'm wondering wich version of the game to preorder ??? the limited edition or the normal game ??

I bet there is enough bonus dvds for everyone that pre-order, the LE on the other hand, maybe not.

You will enjoy the game on either version so its up to you to decide if you want to pay more or less.
 
I just picked one up at Gamecrazy here in San Diego. Has anyone canceled a pre-order before after getting the pre-order bonus? Do they ask for it back?

I too got one at a GameCrazy in SD... I did this for MGS3 Subsistence LE, got my preorder money back too.
