BUBBA HO-TEP coming from Shout! Factory.

Bruce Campbell (Ash Vs Evil Dead) plays “Elvis”, who takes on a 3,000 year-old mummy in BUBBA HO-TEP, the 2002 cult horror-comedy classic from Director Don Coscarelli (Phantasm). Here’s the early details we have so far:

- Official street date is planned for November 8th

- This will be a branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover.

- The Coscarelli-approved newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you see pictured comes to us from artist Joel Robinson (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Serpent and the Rainbow). The original theatrical poster image will be on the reverse side of the wrap.

- Bonus features and specs are still in progress and will be announced sometime in Sept/Oct.

- Pre-order now directly from our website @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/film/film-horror/bubba-ho-tep-collector-s-edition which includes shipping two weeks early plus a free 18” x 24” poster of the newly-designed key art (while supplies last)!

Order for $24.99

FYI, October Sky was released by Universal as a Best Buy exclusive on October 4 along side "It Came From Outer Space 3D."

Also, Sony will be releasing "Not Another Teen Movie" on November 1, 2016. Currently an outrageous $27 on Amazon, so I'm waiting for a major price cut--- something closer to $10.

Both of these have some amazing animation. RIP traditional American animation. May pick both up as I love animation on Bluray.

Star Wars Original Trilogy despecialized versions. I know it's probably not going to happen but I still want it dammit.

The Abyss
True Lies

House of flying daggers with a good master and not the shitty one we got because someone fucked up the source files

El Aura would also benefit from a bluray release

I've all but given up on on Criterion ever putting out a Peeping Tom bluray at this point. It's the one title in their catalogue that's basically forever OOP that i want more than any other.

In light of Patton Oswalt marrying Natty Gann, we need some Journey of Natty Gann blu ray action. The DVD that got released in America isn't even widescreen.... (I think R2 got a wide DVD at some point).

Classic movie that almost never gets mentioned (which is probably part of why it hasn't seen a release in forever).

I'd love to see these for the US.

Chicken Run
Crash (Cronenberg)
Dead Ringers
Perfect Blue
Solaris (Soderbergh)
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

At least we're finally getting The Iron Giant this year. That's a big get.
14 months later, still waiting. Damn it.

jonathan glazer's birth is a film i'd love to see on blu-ray but sadly it seems like it's been completely forgotten. some incredible scenes and an amazing score by desplat that should be done justice by a good quality release that i doubt will ever get made.

here's the opening scene, which is a good example of the incredible music.

I love Glazer, this film and its score. It's almost a crime that this isn't released on BluRay. I don't collect much physical media but I bought the DVD of this since it was cheap and have it sitting unopened next to my Sexy Beast and Under the Skin Blu's.

The Incredible Shrinking Woman is coming to Blu-ray this October from Shout Select! Starring comedy legend Lily Tomlin, Charles Grodin and Ned Beatty. Figures, I literally just bought this on DVD at Wal-Mart for $7...

The Powerpuff Girls Movie.

Fun fact: This movie never even got a proper widescreen release in R1. The original DVD release was only cropped in fullscreen. I mean WHAT THE FUCK.

CONFIRMED

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Honey, I Blew Up the Kid on blu-ray exclusively through Disney Movie Club. No word on if the Roger Rabbit short before Shrunk or Off His Rockers short before Blew Up will be included on the discs.

Off His Rockers has only ever been released on the Blew Up Laserdisc, but at least all the Roger Rabbit shorts are all included on the Who Framed Roger Rabbit blu-ray.

Romero's Martin, Alice Sweet Alice, Dellamorte Dellamore, and Let's Scare Jessica to Death.

There are also some horror titles that went OOP that need a rerelease. First and foremost is Dawn of the Dead which is basically being held by ransom at this one. Second are the Friday the 13th films. The collector's boxset that came out years ago didn't really deliver the goods like it should have (mainly in packaging and extra's), especially compared to the Halloween boxset that came afterwards. However, it's difficult to purchase the films now unless you want to pay some ridiculous price. Third is Braindead.

I've all but given up on on Criterion ever putting out a Peeping Tom bluray at this point. It's the one title in their catalogue that's basically forever OOP that i want more than any other.

Yeah, no kidding. Especially with all of the other works from Michael Powell they've released. I wonder if there is some restriction that's keeping them from releasing it. This is assuming that the rights aren't being sat on by somebody else.

There are many movies MIA on BluRay, I could cite 100 movies from major film makers that i would love to see in my library.
