Microsoft announced two Tablets, one running Windows RT on ARM and one running Windows 8 Pro on x64. See below for more info.
  • Surface with Windows 8 Pro will run all of your existing Windows Applications plus the new Applications built for the new colorful tiled UI.
  • Surface with Windows RT will NOT run your existing Windows Applications outside of preinstalled office and normal windows utilities. It will only run new Applications built for the new colorful tiled UI.
Microsoft Surface with Windows RT (ARM) will ship on October 26th and will start at:
  • US $499.00
  • UK £399.00
  • AU 599.00
  • CA $519.00
Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro (x64) will ship about 3 months after and be priced comparable to ultrabooks.

Can't be xbox 720. E3 was a waste if it is.

Oh and $20 says that if it is a tablet, it will be able to connect to xbox 720 or Windows 8 PC for additional features (similar to Wii U).

They will announce the next iteration of the Xbox, which will be a tablet and it shall be deemed the name "Xbox 720." The meltdowns would be glorious.

My prediction: It'll be an Xbox-branded tablet for $300 or less running Win RT. Will probably look similar to the HP Touchpad in design. And will be the device that Microsoft demos/advertises all their Smart Glass stuff with. On sale this October.

This way they beat iPad on pricing, have an affordable Windows tablet for sale, and deflate Wii U hype train a bit by showing consumers Xbox has a tablet controller too.

New MS tablet that you use as a tablet, then dock into a keyboard to use as a windows 8 laptop, then you pull a windows phone out of the back for use on the go.
