Microsoft to host 'special' Forza event at E3

I typically don't care much about resolution but I'd love to see what Horizon 3 in 4K would look like.

Colorado, Southern Eurooe.., Time to take the series to Australia.

My wheel is ready.

Not sure if it was posted before or not, but it seems like new location for Horizon 3 could be Australia. One of gtplanet users posted it a while ago.

From that source at least, probably not:

Update: The leak appears to be definitely fake. While the originally was highly debateable (with many thinking it's real, others not so much), the "leaker" released a new video onto Dailymotion. This was most likely from the attention received on the first video, due to media coverage. The original snippet was believable to an extent, however, this latest video proves otherwise.

Coming in at forty-two seconds, it shows the same three-second clip, along with a supposed "in-game screenshot" with an extremely fake hud. The ending also shows the Audi R8 on the cover, with a "coming soon" message beside it. It's just pure fake. Microsoft never promotes a game like that. It would have a green background, with an Xbox One beside it (most likely).

This is original thread:

From the first paragraph of that article

Horizon 3 is my most anticipated game besides possibly RDR 3. I pretty much bought an xbox one for Horizon 2 with zero regrets. I hope the rumors that 3 is coming to pc are true though, that would be amazing.

I've been playing a lot of Horizon 2 lately after putting it down for a bit in January. I LOVE this game. The setting and soundtrack are just great. Cleaning up achievements and just racing is so much fun. I'm so ready for a third. Bring it!

Okay... Still part of Europe isn't it?

Obviously I didn't mean all of Europe.
Sure, but Europe has a nice and wide variety of environments. Forza Horizon 2 included only a tiny fraction. A new Horizon could be set in other parts of Europe and still feel completely fresh.

Why? The game's not really that popular.

It's a great game, don't get me wrong, and imo the best in the sim-ish racer genre (better than GT imo) but the fanbase is relatively small.

I'd be on board day 1 for an Australia game. However Realistically I think we are probably getting Dubai which would be incredible.

Hopefully they wait until Horizons 5 for Japan since its one of the best possible locations available I'd love it to be able to exist with 10th Gen features and Specs

Edit: Australia has some really fun driving roads. But it's just too large for a game to be able to do it justice right now. Australia is about the same size as the USA geographically and we all saw how THE CREW looked. The Tech just isn't there yet.

I'll play a new Forza. Hopefully it's a Horizon and it's set in a post-apocalyptic future and all of the cars are rusted out junk heaps that race from location to location trying to win water.

Dubai? Dubai is just highways and straight roads everywhere. You have to go miles out to find any decent driving roads round here and then you are no longer in Dubai but well on your way to Oman.

Japan, easily.

Big loud neon cityscapes, reminiscent of Need for Speed, abutting long roads, tall twisty hills and mountains, snow, beachfronts, forests. Huge verticality. Bullet-train racing.

Given how small Japan is, they could probably pull-off a condensed caricature as well.

Hadn't even thought about Dubai but that would be a perfect fit. It's flashy, beautiful, and would be a blast to race around the city, sea, and desert.

UK is the best setting. 3 areas. England for the main cities, countryside and coastal roads. Scotland for the mountainous snowy area. Wales for the rainy forest rally events.

The devs are also from the UK and so know the area. It's also home to one of the worlds most famous music festivals.

Perfect!

Tenerife, Scotland, Australia....maybe Japan.

As I said before Japan sounds absolutely perfect, I just don't see worldwide appeal there.

I can see a male/female choice of driver this time, even some proper customisation.

Would be great but probably won't happen.

Japan it is!

Beee waiting to play Horizon at 60fps..no more motion blur bollocks

Hell, FH2 on PC would be sweet, but a FH3 reveal would be amazing! I 100%'d the first FH, and have yet to put the finishing touches on FH2, but it's easily my favorite racing game series of the past two generations. As much as I like the main Forza games, all the extras and the general structure of Horizon put it on a different level for me.

Another year, another Forza

Pardon my lack of enthusiasm
Great contribution.

Agreed. I think Japan would be my dream location, but I don't think we'll see it for FH3 at least. I'm just hoping for a much larger and more varied map with whatever location they choose.
