True, I expect Titanfall to have much more advertising compared to any other Xbox One exclusive aside from Halo. But EA/MS and Titanfall will have to compete with Activision and Destiny. I expect the latter to win that little competition considering it'll be available to everyone and Activision will push that game just like EA/MS will try and push Titanfall. Sony will help too since they're very interested in associating the game that comes from the creators of Halo with Playstation.
This is where Microsoft has messed up very badly with their price. PS4 doesn't need anything to compete with 'Titanfall'. There is basically no reason to care. The $40 million or whatever Microsoft paid for the measly exclusivity period on the game will ultimately be a dumb investment. When Infamous is out, Sony/Activision will focus on Destiny, then Sony will just move on to its next big games. Most importantly, big titles like Destiny will just help PS4 much more because the PS4 is much cheaper.
I agree. MS has the best lineup of next gen games announced at this point. Their launch lineup and year 1 lineup are stronger than Sonys. Titanfall is going to be huge and Halo 5 is a guaranteed hit for next fall...those are big games that I care about and make me confident in grabbing a box at launch.
Normally I stay out of threads like this but your theory is a little flawed when it comes to Titanfall and Destiny. Titanfall comes out early spring 2014 Destiny comes out sometime in the fall 2014. Titanfall will have at least a 4 to 5 month window to itself with no competition from 3rd or 1st party developers.
So there not competing against each other at the launch of the games. The One version of the game will most likely be the one that sales more only because of the heavy pirating on the PC and the 360 version won't compare because of the nature of the game. If the same amount of people that played games on the PC actually payed for them................. PC sales could be bigger than any console.
Now we know it's coming out eventually for the PS4 but it will be old news and will have little impact like metal gear sold on 360 or gta the original XBOX. Also because of the selection of games that will be out for the PS4 by time it does arrived on the platform. And by then it will be associated with X1. With all the buzz this tittle is getting this could be a big win for MS.
hmmm? I fail to see why people automatically want to make this some defacto consensus? X1 launch lineup looks absolutely terrible to me! Killer Instinct ftp nonsense looked ok, but am I going to be buying that over just practicing in SF4 getting ready for SF4 Ultra? Nope...Dead Rising looks like a rental, Forza looks equal to Drive Club and I can skip both and just get GT6 on current hardware. COD/BF/Watchdogs are MP. Resogun actually looks awesome and just as addicting as Stardust and I finally get to play Minecraft on a Playstation if I buy a PS4.Your eyes need glasses if you think the ps4 has a better launch lineup than the xbox one.
They sold a couple million. And it's pretty silly using those as comparison points. There is a very good reason why stuff like Infamous, Killzone and Drive Club are showing up early, rather than later when ND, SSM, PD and other big multi-platform titles start showing up with more consistency. They're safe titles, but they're also titles Sony will comfortably make some money on because they're available early when people are less picky about the titles they're going to buy. If they don't manage even that, some people better start praying.
In the case of Infamous, there are high hopes giving it an early showcase will help it become a bigger franchsie. That's why it's being given extra time, whereas the others are being told to hurry up and get ready. Killzone is the one I see being hurt potentially sales wise because it will have to compete with Call of Duty and Battlefield which basically leaves it a little screwed.
Drive Club will sell a lot. I expect that to do 3-4 million when it's all said and done.

I'm not even getting a PS4 till next year sometime, but this X1 has a better launch lineup stuff is laughable at best. Bost platforms exclusive wise look very weak, with the slight edge IMO in PS4 because of the smaller games offering diversity, and Knack.
I agree that Xbox One has the better launch lineup. PS4 lineup is a bit weak, but part of that is because Sony is still heavily supporting PS3 which is smart. I'm fine with Killzone until February. I will have Beyond, GT6, Ratchet, and Puppeteer to keep me busy.
Why is there even still a debate? Microsoft has dropped the ball two generations in a row, and they aren't giving the appearance that anything has changed. What comes out for the xbone from January to June?I just found this list from another site...Pretty telling if you ask me

KZ:SF interests me because I like sci-fi shooters more than modern shooters. I'm also hoping that getting in early with a new game with new mechanics will help me not get slaughtered with MP. It also helps that you can play MP with bits to practice.Verendus, even if it will be a though fight for KZSF aginst COD & BF4, don't you think that it can give them a serious run for the money with the apparent quality level of its production ?
Yeah, but we're playing stuff like that all the time?? I mean, yeah a better adjective I guess would be average...they're both looking really really average to me. I just can't go out and spend $500 or $400 to play the same experience I'm having now with upgraded visuals. Especially when GTA5/GT6 is coming out this year on top of playing TLOU and Bioshock.Terrible? Come on. The big exclusives they have this launch trumps their last ones. Dead Rising, KI, Forza, Ryse are all very interesting looking games only found on their console and that's not counting any of the multiplat ones. But somehow its lacking diversity? Hell its a shooter console and they don't have one in-house shooter at launch. Id say its a nice refreshing change from what i usually see from them.
Now we know it's coming out eventually for the PS4 but it will be old news
Damning. Just damning..
Taking games from a previous platform, makes your game worse, your previous platform and legacy weaker, and all in all might not be worth it. Here, if this image doesn't sum up MS and Sony "AAA" and exclusives support in a nutshell, nothing else really does.

Love how ps4 owners think titanfall will be coming to ps4 soon.
You dont think ms would moneyhat it like gears of war....nahhh im sure they would let one of the most anticipated titles end up on a competing system.

I just want to throw in my 2 cents. First off, delaying games from one generation of system to another is a truly detestable practice. I'll just use TLOU and RYSE for examples.
Not only would TLoU not have sold as well but, it was made as a PS3 game. When you start mucking with studios and making them so drastic stuff like change the platform they're developing for, you come out with a worse game. Games like TLoU coming out so late in the life span are just proof of continued support from Sony WWS. It was the same with the all of their former systems. This means my $400 will be valid for as long as the PS4 is the only console they have out on the market. I'm not going to get utterly abandoned during the last 3 years of my consoles lifespan like MS has done to the 360.
The same can be said for RYSE. Apparently that games vision had gone from Kinect to conventional and all kinds of other hoops. But, it was taken from 360 development. Another reason less to turn on my 360 ever again.

Sony should have put TLOU on PS4 instead of PS3. The game is a mess on PS3 and would have been much better if developed on a more powerful system. After 10 years the consoles have been out for far too long. I can understand if last gen lasted as long as the 6th generation, but it did not. So if Microsoft did the same thing with a 5 year long gen like with the first Xbox then I would feel abandoned, but the 7th gen has lasted a DECADE. Cut it off right now please.

I've seen a few people say the Xbone has a better launch line-up and the PS4 lineup is weak. They are literally launching with the same exact games, or counter-games in the same exact genre. In the PS4s case it has a triple A exclusive FPS to go along with it. So...odd.

Ryse/Dead Rising really look shallow to me. Forza and KI I'll give you, but again, it's just not interesting because I'm not seeing what the new experience is.
I just want to play some of the digital titles, and I Knack because, well there's not that platformer/simple games anymore. To each his own, but hmm I dunno, but kinda sucky to me at this point. Infamous only thing that truly stands out. MOre interesting in how the OS works lol..

Weak in terms of exclusives that I would like to play. Sony has Killzone, Knack, and DriveClub. MS has Ryse, Killer Instinct, Crimson Dragon, Forza, and Dead Rising. I would rather play Dead Rising, Crimson Dragon, and Killer Instinct over any of the PS4 exclusives launching. However I would take Infamous over anything else coming out in the next 6 months.
As for the indie games, with Steam and most smart phones, i get a shit ton of those already. For 500+ dollars i wanna play games that cant run on my phone, but thats me.
True trueI think third parties are winning the games battle at launch.

Also, doesn't it help that KZ is on a platform where the Calluh and Battleduty bros are less prominent? With all the early maps and stuff going to XBox this gen, haven't the bros gone Xbox already? I'd think that leaves KZ:SF on a platform where PS3->PS4 upgraders are already not as into modern military shooters?
