Adam Sessler said something interesting today about Microsoft letting some things slip out this week that they didn't want to focus on at E3. He wasn't specific about the nature of that info, so it could be about games, policies, hardware.

Didn't they say a few years ago they wanted to become more ... open. I mean we've had them on stage jigging about to KS. Not sure I'd call that shy!
He was just talking about DRM and Used Games and then he mentioned they might drop that info this week so they don't have to spend more time at E3 explaining it. I would kinda prefer they do it that way but they may need to get up there on stage and come out with it.

Yeah, this thread started before the PS4 equiv and has 10x less posts. I expect MS hype to pick back up to more normal levels after the conference.
Btw - first post after a 5 year lurking hiatus. I guess the console wars have amped me up once again...

Seven returning...? I really hope 4 of them include Banjo, Killer Instinct, Conker and Perfect Dark.
Slightly wishful thinking I think haha, max Rare can get out in the timeframe is 3. I think it's best to assume 2 old IP and 1 new.
Those 7 returning games are part of the 15 exclusives coming out in the first year for XB1. There is no way Rare is going to release that many games in the first year.
Expect only one game from Rare if we're talking about the group of "7 returning."
Any more than that and then we're dealing with games that are two to three years away.

I need on that train. I'm so hyped for E3. I believe in MS to bring a good selection of games to E3. I've been thinking I really hope MS stops 3rd party controllers and I believe always online might stop some of the cheating online. They cheating was never bad but if they can lower even better I'm all for it.

For some reason a September release wouldn't surprise me.
I've been speculating this to be the case for months.
I think the GTA delay was a result of money hats from MS to get a One version for launch. So September. Pal/Japan then get the console in November.

I don't think Black Tusk's new IP is going to release within the next year. It seems like they just recently went into full production mode.
Haha I don't see Rare releasing 4 games, although I wish. The 7 returning can include third part exclusives, I believe, since MS only said the 8 new IPs were all first-party.

Don't count on it...
Class 3 isn't out until Wednesday. A large amount of their resources will then move to either post-release support (I haven't heard anything about DLC, but it's possible) or to the PC port. At this point, it's probably a very small core team who has started thinking about Class 4.
They've also said they're going to design Class 4 around what works and what doesn't with Class 3. They'll need a few months to really understand what works/doesn't with the game.
If I had to guess, we probably won't see Class 4 until E3 2015 at the earliest. Considering the scope they want to hit for the game (MMO-esque), it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't until E3 2016 until they're ready to show, and hopefully release the same year! The wait has been painfully long for Class 3 (I first heard about it in 2010 when they started recruiting).

Never had the pleasure to play it, but definitely something like that, but I'm guessing they flesh out the live-action stuff more. I really want to give that game a spin some time, as I hear it's the best use of the Kinect on 360.
