There's an interesting tidbit in IGN's year in review article:

Next November marks the 10-year anniversary of Microsoft's entry into the console market and to celebrate, they seem to have an amazing line-up set to go. The big game announcements haven't even begun, but from what I know 2011 should be a killer year.

Flying ships, floating cities? and upside down pyramids, good stuff. I'm excited to see something other than the usual realistic Crytek artstyle in CE3 , fantasy in CE3 should look great.
EDIT: and giant scorpions, I approve of this direction .

Agreed..... if some of that art shows what locales in the game will look like it will be a very successful game. Hope this is a non fps game.... would love to see crytek tackle other genres. That art does make me think (as I said earlier in this thread) that this will be the 360's answer to god of war..... it has that same "grand" locale feel.

That's not what I was referring to though.

I'm aware of Sony's lineup, my post wasn't about Sony's lineup. I mean, in the end, anyone thinking MS has nothing for next year, obviously just haven't found games THEY want on 360 next year.

Same way I can only think of 3 or 4 titles (out of the supposedly 57) coming out for PS3 next year, but I didn't go into that thread and shit it up with posts like Redbeard's. If there's only one game you're looking forward to? fine, that's all you're looking forward to, but that doesn't mean the 360 has NOTHING coming for it next year.

Some would argue, Gears 3, Forza 4, XCOM (if it makes it), and al the Kinect only stuff might be worth looking at (ironically, unless the Kinect stuff is gold, Gears 3 is the only exclusive I'm buying). Not to mention the plethora of mutliplats coming out. People can only buy so many games.

But it gets annoying when he comes into pretty much every 360 thread to make some snide remark about how terrible anything 360 is. There's no need.

Anyone expecting much more than what I listed above is in denial. When's the last time Microsoft suddenly revealed a gigantic blockbuster exclusive months before release?

--Also, I don't understand why exclusives really matter so much. For a majority of games the lead developing platform is the xbox, which means xbos360 will get top quality games anyways.

Like in the other two threads, console exclusives and multiplatform games with exclusive modes and features are also counted. I even left out a number of confirmed games we know very little or nothing about (Dance Central 2, Frontier's next Kinect project(s), some games with exclusive Kinect functionality, some XBLA games...) so the list is not complete.

As you can see, even though the number of potential bluckbusters is rather slim at the moment, there's still plenty to sink your teeth into (not to mention all the multiplatform games). The rest will be announced next year. For instance, we know another Gears game is coming and Microsoft is apparently having an event on January 7th...
