The point is, the agreement is that they will get paid within 45 days of the end of the quarter; so it is 1 business days or 19 actual days late -- not 3 months or some of the other numbers being thrown around
(net X payment terms are usually calendar days not business days)
Accountants would be freaking the fuck out if a payment were a DAY late. Must be some internal software system that is broke as fuck. Never met an accountant who wouldn't go completely berserk in this situation
Oh trust me I know what this is like, I am a freelancer as well. I just make sure clients know when they are signing my contract that payment is due in a set amount of time. I have only had problems with a few clients, but mainly they are good and early most times.
I just don't comprehend how they can be so careless, what is going on over there, Phil been in bunker mode since MCC, get out there man, talk to the people, and more importantly apologize to these dev's please!
Before I jump in with the lynch mob I am glad this was brought up. This happens a lot more then people are willing to admit. I know in some situations quarterly payments are made not monthly or weekly.
Not saying it is right, but just pointing out it happens.
thank god i havent experienced this in person but i know people that do (in other jobs), that fucking sucks some have to ask for borrowed money and just get in debt because assholes.
whether is an error or not that shit should be fixed asap, i would like to see a suit in ms not getting his/her paycheck on time.
