Mid year sale [US PSN]

Bought doom last week, urgh... called CS to see if I can get credit, basically told me to read the of agreement and fuck off.

Be prepared to hard reboot your PS4 at least six or seven times - that's what I had to do over about 20-25 hours of gameplay because the game just froze and I couldn't even get back to the main PS4 menu to close the application.

It's a shitty port. The game is great and all, but the port is utter shit.

"Should be" as in "ideally", or do you mean this is an actual service Sony provides? I don't think you can refund a game just because at some point it costs others less than what you paid for it. I could be wrong though.

That is true! I remember seeing the Persona games at $5, and I passed on them. Never dropped that low again.

I don't think DDS2 or Nocturne will be going on sale anytime soon, but I already snagged those. I was in a Shin Megami mode after beating Persona 3 and 4, so I snagged them all as soon as they release don PSN. I've only played a little of them, but I was hoping they'd release on PS4 instead, as I'd prefer to play them on that system. I'm annoyed because they'd have us buy them again, which really puts a hold on me purchasing anymore PS2 classics on PS3. I'm still pissed that my Mark of Kri and War of Monsters purchase on PS2 didn't let me upgrade or transfer it over to the PS4. I love playing PS2 games on my PS4, but it was a kick in the balls to make people buy games they already bought on the PS3.
 
How is Pirate Warriors 3 for a casual musou player (play like 1 every 2 years) thats also a One Piece Fan???

I should mention I havent played any of the previous pirate warriors so the fact it recycles stuff from previous games shouldn't be an issue
 
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition

It's been a while since I've played a Dynasty Warriors game and this one having the word "Complete" in the title makes me think that it should have a ton of contents.

Has anyone played it? How is it? Does it run at 60fps/1080p on PS4? Also, I love games that have tons of costumes, is this one of them?

Just bought Ray Gigant after finding out this is just week one. I'm thinking since Doom went that low already, maybe it'll be even lower in a flash sale later this year. So I'll hold off.

It's very casual friendly. It's one of the best One piece Musou too! It's jam packed with a crazy amount of content for $15! It's a steal at that price!
 
Looks like I'll only be buying Nidhogg, been wanting to get this for a while and I'll buy it at that price. Would have also bought Tales of Heart R and Xillia 2 but I can't imagine me ever getting time to play through them anytime soon.

Hell yes. It'll please Transformers fans but even if you don't know anything about them, the gameplay alone carries the game to insane levels.

Double dipped on Shantae: Risky’s Revenge Director’s Cut. Have it on Steam but it seems unlikely I'll ever bother to play it on there. On my PS4 it'll get played much quicker.
 
Can I get some impressions on The Fall? Sounds like something I would be into. Something about it reminds me of The Swapper, which gets a lot of love but unfortunately I didn't care for (maybe it was just a bit too hyped for me).
 
Bloody hell, wish I wasn't so pro-physical.

Though for $2.99 - on some of these Vita games - it's basically impossible to refuse.
 
Wanted One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 for Vita.

Bought Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate in the Flash Sale two days assuming OPPW3 wouldn't be on sale for awhile.

OPPW3 is on sale today and it's cheaper. FML.

I guess I'll just buy it on PS4, the difference in price is negligable this time.

I was interested in it until I saw this review, looks like it's pretty mediocre at best and I'm passing on it personally.

Okay let me help ya here since this game isnt what it exactly says it is, DW8 complete edition is Dynasty warriors 8 + extreme Legends on one disk for the ps4 (before you had to do those mix joy stuff aka put in extreme legends, press the mix joy, pop in the base DW game to get all the story mode in the game) This game runs at an odd FPS... hu lao gate when it goes up in flames is the worst fps drop the game gets ... and it goes to somewhere in the 10-20 region , otherwise the game runs sorta okay on single player, better than it has in the past if that means anything. Costumes are only from DLC (note the old DW outfit dlcs are about a couple bucks or so and i've bought them for nostalgia reasons + some old designs are better than current ones) I like DW8 comeplete edition, DW7 was better in some aspects but i'd give this a Solid B grade for DW games. for $23 ( i think?) its worth it (you basically get DW8 + DW8 Extreme legends in one game) Game has what if modes too if thats something you like. japanese audio is a download iirc or it might be on the game already (havent played it in a long time but it was free from what i remember) If you have any further questions dont hesitate to ask. Oh it it has couch co-op too if thats a plus.

Just buy it. You won't regret your purchase. Both games are jam packed with content, get ready to lose even more hours of your life.

The PS4 verisons looks better and comes with more enemies on screen to unleash your attacks.
 
I don't know what they added to Jamestown in +, but I played the original and it's incredible. At that price you'd be a fool not to get it. I don't usually play shmups because of the difficulty, but this one's very accessible.

Yeah, my Vita doesn't have room for another 3GB game. I can't really see myself playing two musous at the same time...

But OPPW3 had the better Vita performance.

Seconding this. I played the original on PC years ago, and it's great. Hell, I'm even thinking of double dipping now :D
 
Just got a PSVita and what a good time for that, I just hot Tearaway for 7 bucks in the past sale, and in this one I got Tales of Hearts R, Grim fandango and Hyperdimension N RB 1 :D
Now I'm waiting for YS Memories of celceta, Gravity Rush, Danganronpa HTH and Persona 4! :D

How is it playing solo? Might buy this along with Nidhogg.
 
PSA: Monster Monpiece on Vita is well worth $2-4. If you can ignore the (bad) pervy artwork on the cards, the game itself is a really good lane-based card game. Don't pass it up because it looks lame as shit, the game is fun.
