Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney: Investigations demo is out

I don't see it. I DON'T SEE IT!!!

Edit: It's because it's on the site and not a downloadable DS demo. I'm stupid.

Okay, I must have missed that pun. What does his name mean?

JOCK. To go with the sports theme.

Uh... I don't know what that means... but "trial edition" because it's a game about court? Get it!? A court trial! Just calling it a demo doesn't get that insanely ingeniously awesomely awesome pun across.

Pun Police, out.

Nooooo it froze at the cross examination!! ARGH DAMN YOU CAPCOM!
Same. DAMN YOU!

Oh well, I think I have seen enough for now. I await the day I get to play more.

I almost forgot this was coming out in January. 2010 is another awesome year for the DS it seems, I keep thinking that the lineup was going to die down, but then this, Hotel Dusk 2 (hopefully), and Ghost Trick comes along, all next year. Madness.

Is January Japan's release? The site hosting the demo listed its release as February.

But yeah, the DS is still a beast. Love it.

Is it Feb? That's what I meant. This has been out in Japan since April or May this year.

Mine just stopped at the Rebuttal also. Is it supposed to stop there I guess? I was expecting a coming soon message or something.

Oh, I see. I guess I didn't catch it because I'd pronounce it a bit differently. Thanks anyway.

Man, I just finished the first one, and now playing Chrono Trigger, still have a long way to go before I play this, Miles is awesome.

Should I play all of them?, I tought Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is excellent.

Of course, and make sure to play them in order.
Justice for All (the second game) is a bit weaker, but Trials and Tribulations (the third one) is so good that you shouldn't care one bit :D

Will do, the last case in the first one is just... wow, definetly one of the best games I've played ever.

EUREKA!

Second and third games have better final cases, just to let you know.

It is to be expected that such an awesome game get's better with time and sequels.

All of the cases are awesome, the final one was made exculsively to take advantage of the DS, so it had beter use of the assets, it was so good.

I'm buying Trials and Tribulations tomorrow.

Yeah I think Case 1-5 still has the best use of the DS features, even better than Apollo Justice. That surveillance video was awesome.

And to reiterate what Jocchan said, you really should play the games in order, since the main arc won't make as much sense if you skip the second game (not sure if you are planning to do that).

I'll play them in order, T&T is the second, right?

No, Justice for All is the second. Trials & Tribulations the third, and Apollo Justice the fourth (althrough this one starts a different story arc).

I don't really like the new interface. I don't see what's the point at all of moving Edgeworth around with a virtual dpad. At this point, why not make it more like a point & click? Well, it's not like it break the game or something, maybe it gets some sense with an actual DS and how they will take advantage of that new "gameplay".

Anyway I really enjoyed this little demo, I can't wait to get my hands on the final game :D

I have no idea if that's the case, but maybe you can also move him with the D-pad.

Any chance of a DS demo popping up on the Nintendo Channel at all?
Yes but it won't be until the game is released or sometime after. The content of the Nintendo channel demo should be identical to the flash demo assuming that the Apollo Justice demo is anything to go by.

Well, anyone who has played the Japanese version should know for sure. Maybe check in that thread?

K' Dash said:
Alright, I'm buying that one then, hope I can find a copy.
You could probably find it used easy enough.

Worst case, you can import the Japanese version from Play-Asia as the first 3 DS games there had English options.

The Japanese version is also pretty cheap, I believe. Or at least it used to be when I bought mine, and considering Capcom released a few budget editions I have no reason to believe its price went up.

Finally got around to trying the demo. It was fantastic. Scratches that Ace Attorney itch well. I cannot wait for the final game :D

Can anyone help me with Trials and Tribulations?

The Stolen Turnabout part 3 investigation.

I've done everything but
Ron DeLite won't show up in the detention center
. These are the conversations I've finished so far:

Maya:

What to do.

Sacred Urn.

Kurain Village.

Desiree:

Ron DeLite.

Detective Atmey.

KB Security.

Love at first sight.

Gumshoe:

What happened.

Detective Atmey.

Prosecutor Godot.

Butz:

Good Info.

Security guard.

The night of the crime.

Emergency buzzer.

Adrian:

DeMasque's identity.

The night of the crime.

Sacred Urn is still locked. It's said that I am to talk with Ron after getting the info from Butz but he simply will not show up. I've been going over this all day and even looking on Gamefaqs but he still won't show up.

What am I missing? Thanks.

It's hard to help people through gameplay moments in Phoenix Wright games, especially with trigger points. Unless they're super memorable bits. I would just look it up on gamefaqs.

I figured it out. Had to present
Gumshoe the image of the CEO
to trigger him to talk about him. I don't know man, it's partly my fault, but that's kind of bad game design if you ask me. They shouldn't have let me advance if that was such an important step in the investigation. Give me some clues of what I could have possibly missed or something.

I wonder if there will be any courtroom scenes at all in this game. Yelling at each other across the room just doesn't have the same drama as the courtroom.

It's been what feels like forever since this game was released in Japan last year. I totally forgot this game hasn't been released in the west yet.

Thank you for all the positive impressions. I've got the game coming from Amazon next week. A little late for V-Day but I don't think she'll mind. She's played through all of the other 4.
