If it's so streamers shouldnt show the broken game, why cancel sponsorships a day after the game released? Looks like some streamers were all ready to go.

I'll tell you why.

It's a junk game but didnt provide review codes to prevent as much public talk about the game as possible. And streamers covering the game asap would show gamers what a bad game it is. Instead of delaying and fixing the game, they released it hoping for as many gamers buying blind on "an ex-Rockstar guy made it".

They didn't tell sponsors until now so they'd keep talking about the game. If they shut off the taps weeks ago, streamers wouldnt bother promoting the game the past month.

Sketchy marketing tactics at its finest.

Yeah, but they commissioned these streams so calling them out for it is fair game. 🤷‍♂️

What is MindsEye?

MindsEye is a linear third-person action-adventure game from first time studio Build A Rocket Boy and first time third party publisher IO Interactive. The player assumes control of Jacob Diaz (Alex Hernandez/Lincoln Clay from Mafia 3), a former soldier with a neural implant, known as the MindsEye. Suffering from memory loss and flashbacks, he heads towards the fictional desert metropolis of Redrock, where he aims to discover the secrets behind this implant.

Normally there's a Steam or Reviews thread where people talk shit about the game.

But this game hasn't had either, not enough reviews to even have an aggregate, only 1 outlet has reviewed it so far IIRC.

Man, what a dumpster fire. And there is some heavyweight talent on the team, for example Roman Zawada, associate art director, worked on Mafia games, KCD1, then at Crytek and now on this. But bad designers and bad leadership sinks anything.

Crazy too. The studio has somewhere around 300-450 employees (depending which link you check).
 
I suppose the criticism on The Dark Ages made me bitter people calling it a bad game and stuff. Now i want this game to lay down in the dirt.
That doesn't change the fact that this game is a mess, though.

Listening to Grubb's podcast and apparently IOI asked a bunch of outlets if they wanted review codes, they said yes and IOI never followed up with them with review codes, lol.

Io is trash .. never fixed HDR in Hitman 3 despite it working fine in Hitman 1+2 and being the most recent games in a collection of games. People asking every month too (console)

I'd think chances are slim as everything about this release suggests that it was forced out the door due to a financial pressure.

Wrapped up the platinum and enjoyed it. The sluggish performance was my only big issue with some other minor annoyances. No crashes or game breaking bugs and only ran into a few minor glitches so that was good.

To be fair they do this a lot.

A game of absolutely no interest but proceeds to enter the chat anyway and say they're not interested in it.
